Chapter 28

Right before the shadow monster reached Anna she grabbed the aura weapon making everything to her eyes slow once they became demon eyes. To Keith, he saw one slash that destroyed all the shadow creatures.

Keith (in his mind while walking out of the bushes): Her speed has increased but when she's serious about killing someone everything is slow to her.

Anna (looks at Keith having normal eyes while holding a sword that has a baby pink blade with white filler and white handle): Keith what is this?

Keith (standing near Anna): Congrants. You discover how to make your own weapon.

Anna (while the sword disappears): Is this a demon skill?

Keith: Yeah. You're able to use your magic to create any weapon and change its form.

Anna: So that's how you made your lance and guns?

Keith: Exactly.

Anna (looks at the destroyed base): Before we do anything let's bury them.

Keith: Alright. (after looking at the key) I would like to help too.

Anna (start walking): Thank you.

(Sunset)

Keith (standing behind Anna while she prays in front of Jack's gravestone): Are you planning to continue fighting or will you leave the battle?

Anna (opening her eyes being on her knees while the wind blows): Are you asking that because of what Jack said?

Keith: Yes.

Anna (looks at Keith after standing): I'll continue fighting but I want to explore the world and I want to find out more about the shadow realm. Can you join me?

Keith (while Anna's folded coat appears on his hand): I'll be happy to.

Anna (shock): You had my coat?

Keith (after Anna took her coat): I forgot I was carrying your coat with me.

Anna (symbol appears making her coat disappear): Once we're done finding things in the base we have to get some money to buy new clothes and equipment.

Keith (shock): When did you learn how to store your things away?

Anna: I knew how to do that for a long time but I never used it.

Keith (remember): By the way we don't have to worry about getting a job.

Anna (walking after taking a few steps): Why?

Keith (after making one bag of money appear while following): Jack left me some money.

Anna (walking towards the destroyed base): You sure you want to use your money on both of us?

Keith: I am. (while the money bag disappears) You spend money on me so I want to do the same for you.

Anna: Let's try to make it back to the cabin before the moon rises.

Keith: Good idea.

Anna (in her mind holding her hair back while the wind blows): Watch over us, everyone.

(next day morning cabin room)

Keith (while Anna turns around in bed): Anna it's time to wake up.

Anna (sees Keith wearing trousers and having a towel on his shoulder after opening her eyes): Good morning Keith.

Keith (while Anna sits up): How did you sleep?

Anna (wearing a loose button-up white shirt that has the collar undone with long sleeves): I slept fine but you didn't have to give me the bed.

Keith: You're still recovering from the transformation but remember don't lose yourself to the bloodlust to kill because it won't be easy to return to your sense.

Anna: What happens if someone doesn't come back to their sense?

Keith (voice tone lowers): Then you'll become a wild demon who will kill everyone in their sight.

Anna: I'll remember that.

Keith (while rubbing Anna's head): Good girl. Now go to the lake and clean yourself while I get things ready. Don't forget we're leaving today.

(Lake Waterfall)

Anna (in her mind having her head in the waterfall): I'm surprised we found a lot of stuff. (flip her hair back after stepping away) The food we still have should last until we reach the village that's away from the village close to the base. (look at her left hand after squeezing her fist while using her right hand to hold her front hair to the side) I wish I could fight right now but I feel rusty. Even Keith said I'm not ready for combat.

Keith (in Anna's mind): Your clothes and towel are on the rocks behind you.

Anna (in Keith's mind): Thank you. (after turning around) Did you see anything?

Keith: Nope. I promise my eyes were closed.

Anna: Okay. (walking to the rocks) I'll meet you in front of the cabin.

Keith: Alright.

Anna (fire aura appears after coming out of the lake): Demon's healing abilities are impressive. (while drying her hair with a towel) That injury Sosuke gave me would have taken a bit longer to heal. I wonder how strong I got during an actual fight? (while looking at the lake) It's a bit weird for me to see my original eye colour. I almost forgot that it has been two years so I shouldn't be that surprised.

(outside cabin)

Anna (walking out wearing her soldier outfit without her tie and coat having her collar button undone): I'm ready when you are.

Keith (walking out of the bush pushing a motorbike while wearing his soldier outfit without his coat on and having his hair out): Good.

Anna (putting her cloak on): You forgot to tie your hair.

Keith (while tying his hair in a loose down ponytail): Thanks for reminding me.

Anna (while grabbing Keith's cloak): After getting our surplices do you want to begin exploring the world?

Keith: Well I want you to be ready for battle so I thought we could stay low for a while. During your recovery, we can have more things prepared and gather more information.

Anna (pass Keith cloak): That's not a bad idea. (while Keith takes his cloak) Can't wait to learn more about your kind Keith.

Keith (while putting Anna's hood on): We might not find much but I will tell you what I know. (getting on the motorbike) Let's try to get as far as we can before it reaches sunset.

Anna (while getting on): Okay.
