Epilogue - Part 1
She was wearing a white dress that was up to her knees. Her long black hair was moving together with her movements. She was running around the library. She was smiling widely. She was giggling. She was calling my name.
She was like an angel in disguise. She looked like God's favorite.
“Rafael,” she called as she extended her hand like she wanted me to come close to her.
I smiled warmly at the sight. Being with her is like being in heaven and I have God's favorite angel beside me.
“Yakap?” she said like a kid begging for candy.
I softly chuckled as I reached for her extended hand.
But just as I was about to hold her hand, I suddenly couldn't touch her. My forehead creased as I reached for her hand again but my hands just passed through hers.
“Rafael?” She called, her voice too painful to hear.
I looked at her eyes.
The side of my eyes stung when I saw the pain in her eyes like she was hurt that I'm not holding her.
I gritted my teeth before trying to reach for her hand again. But for the second time, I couldn't touch her.
I wanted to tell her that I couldn't touch her but no voice could come out of my mouth.
Tears quickly pooled down her cheeks.
My heart felt like it was repeatedly being stabbed.
I don't like seeing her cry.
I don't like it when she gets hurt.
I don't want her to get hurt.
I tried running towards her but my feet were glued on the ground. I tried telling her that I love her and that I miss her but no voice was coming out of my throat.
She looked even more hurt.
The surroundings suddenly started to fade. She suddenly... started fading like an ash being blown by the wind.
I called for her, but no voice came out.
I tried to run to her, but my feet were again glued to the ground.
All I could do was cry as I watched her slowly fade away while her eyes were begging me to hold her hand.
I called for her again, but no voice was coming out. I cried and begged harder.
She tried to run towards me like she was so scared of what was happening and I'm the only one whom she finds safety but she wasn't able to move either.
Please, take me with you... Please...
“I love you,” she said and all I could do was to cry and beg harder hoping that someone would save her.
