Journey Through Moments
Journey Through Time
Teaching Through Becoming

I need a clear vision for what I want so that I could better believe in it.

My Top Priorities
1. Doing What I Love and Using My Creativity and Skills
* I want to enjoy the everyday tasks that I'm doing.
* I don't want to search for a job based on the title. I want to focus on multiple things I can do and multiple possible jobs or projects I could work on. When brainstorming what to do next, I want to be able generate different ideas and not be stuck on one linear path. I don't want this process to stress me out. I want discovering my inner desires to be something that is fun and insightful. I'm searching for positive feelings, curiosity, and revelation, not stress or worry.
* In whatever I do, I want to design the aspects of the work, having the creative freedom to complete it in different ways.
* I want to brainstorm better ways to complete the work.
* I want to do work that challenges me and forces me to think or brainstorm
* I want to do work that takes me out of my comfort zone and forces me to grow in some way
* I want to brainstorm ways to make the work more effective and impactful.
2. Making a Positive Impact in the World
* Filling educational, social, occupational and emotional wellbeing gaps in the community by teaching people:
* The importance of education and how to use it to pursue what you really want in life
* The importance of relationships and how it relieves loneliness and adds meaning to life, but also learning the traumas of codependency and balancing being alone
* The important of emotional wellbeing, teaching about what different emotions mean, understanding traumas and how that impacts our relationship with our emotions or the emotions of others, and teaching how to interpret the meaning of emotions and express them in a healthy way
* I'm learning all of these things for myself, so that I can share it with other people, helping them become self reliant, certain of their future, and free
3. Being Independent, Authentic, and Free
1. Choosing what I want to work on
2. Choosing where I want to work
3. Being able to dictate how I get my work done and being able to work independently
4. Being able to be my authentic self through my work (expressing myself through my work, sharing my ideas and insights through my work, showcasing my skills and abilities through my work)
5. Being able to be my authentic self in all of my relationships and interactions with others (having meaningful relationships matters to me, but I think authenticity matters more because I can't be in these kind of relationships without being my true authentic self)

* Many people from low-income backgrounds are pressured into survival mode, where dreaming and exploring passions are discouraged. In college, the focus often remains on survival—choosing majors and careers for financial security rather than personal interest. However, college is a unique opportunity for exploration, and those who take advantage of it often find their true passions. I want to help others speed up this process by emphasizing the importance of stillness and connecting with one's intuition. While I'm filling educational outreach gaps in my current job, I'm considering this path as well. I don't want to choose it just because it's clear—I want it to be something I'm truly passionate about.

___

* I have to do something creative
* My happiest memories were when I played musical instruments, when I used my imagination when playing with my toys, when I crocheted, when I did arts and crafts, when I would draw or color in my coloring books, and when I read books. I was also happy when I was creating unique designs for social media or doing creative writing prompts for classes, or even just coming up with ideas for events.
* My creative pursuits are not just hobbies but are integral to my emotional wellbeing. I "imagine" red, blue, and purple as my different emotional experiences. It's how I process my thoughts and emotions.
* I have to build meaningful relationships
* My happiest memories were when I was with my sister, when I hung out with my best friends in elementary school and middle school. I was happy when I had friends in FSP to study with for hours and hours. I was happy when I grew closer to my first roommate in college. I was happy when I was close with my ASU friends. I was happy when I had my ex lover by my side. Having good relationships were rare for me, so when I had them, I cherished them.
* I have to make a positive impact and creatively solve problems that are important to me
* I was happiest when I saw the positive outcomes of my work. I was happiest when I felt like I was doing something important. I don't mind working hard if it's for an important cause that I genuinely care about (for example helping first-generation, low income, black students). I wanted to help others who struggle with the same things I struggled with. Might as well use my pain for something purposeful.
* I hope to channel my empathy into making a positive impact, which is a key source of purpose for me
* The classes I enjoyed the best were ones where I tackled broad social issues through essay writing, using different sources and information to piece together a narrative and analysis what I've learned about an issue. I've also enjoyed classes where I got to brainstorm solutions to these broader problems, based on personal experience, researching others experiences with similar issues, and researching solutions that may have worked in the past or in different contexts.
* I have to release my emotions and live my life being who I truly am (authentically)
* I feel safest when I can be myself and express all my emotions without fear of rejection. And I'm only able to do that if I'm given the time to feel them on my own, or if I express them to someone who won't
* I have to live my life on my own terms (independently)
* I am happiest when I can participate in different things and do what I want without relying on others or being constrained by my circumstances
* I have to feel safe and secure
* I am happiest when I feel safe and secure with other people or with the opportunities I participate in. I understand the unpredictability of life, but I like being a part of something where I can expect consistent protection and guidance. I hate not knowing what's going to happen next because it makes me feel unprepared and unable to maintain persistent success. I like being a part of things that are guaranteed to work. I don't like wasting my time.
* I have to be in a structured and organized environment
* I appreciate structure and organization. I enjoy creative problem solving in structured environments. I like being organized so that I'm so overwhelmed with tasks. Anything I do, I need to be structured and organized with it.
* I need time to rest and recharge
* No matter what I end up doing, I need a good balance of productivity and rest.
