As the movie played on, Sarada couldn’t resist teasing Boruto further.

“Look at you, all tough and brave,” she whispered with a smirk, her fingers tracing circles on his arm. “I might have to tell everyone the mighty Boruto was hiding behind his wife during a horror movie.”

Boruto scoffed, his face still half-buried against her shoulder. “Say that, and I’ll tell everyone the Hokage cries over rom-coms.”

Sarada rolled her eyes, smiling. “Touché.”

Another jump scare flashed on the screen, and Boruto let out a low grunt, squeezing her a bit tighter. Sarada couldn’t help but laugh again, the sound light and comforting.

“Fine, fine, laugh all you want, my lady,” Boruto grumbled, shifting slightly so he could look her in the eyes, his playful smirk now in place. “But remember, you picked this horror movie. So if I have nightmares, you’ll be responsible for comforting me.”

“Oh, is that so?” she replied, lifting an eyebrow. “Well, I think I can manage.”

Leaning forward, Boruto tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, his voice dropping to a whisper. “Good. Because I’m not letting you out of my sight.”

Sarada felt her cheeks warm as his gaze lingered, her heart skipping a beat. “Alright, alright,” she mumbled, looking away. “Now watch the movie… if you’re brave enough.”

But as they both settled back, his arm never left her, and despite the scares on the screen, they both felt completely safe, wrapped up in each other’s warmth.
