Days passed, and Sarada had fully recovered, thanks to the dedicated care of Boruto and her family. Her voice had returned to normal, and her strength was back. Finally, after days of being cooped up, Sarada was able to resume her duties as Hokage.
[Also just so you know, Boruto didn't let her go office, till she was completely fine]
That evening, she returned home after a long day at the office. As she walked into the Uzumaki household, the familiar scent of dinner wafted through the air, and she smiled, feeling grateful to be back in the warmth of her home. She slipped off her Hokage cloak and entered the dining room, where her family was already gathered.
"Look who's back in action!" Boruto announced dramatically, flashing her a grin from across the table. "The Hokage herself, gracing us with her presence."
Sarada rolled her eyes, but the corner of her mouth lifted in a smile as she took her seat next to him. "I'm back. Did you miss me?"
"Miss you? Of course, I did, my lady," Boruto teased, placing an exaggerated hand over his heart. "The house is just not the same without you."
Himawari giggled, joining in the teasing. "Yeah, Sarada-nee, it's so much quieter when you're not here to keep Boruto in check."
Sarada smirked, raising an eyebrow at her husband. "You're causing trouble when I'm not around, huh?"
Boruto gave a mock gasp, leaning over to whisper dramatically in her ear, "You know you love it, princess."
Sarada's cheeks flushed instantly, and Boruto couldn't help but grin wider at her reaction. Even after all these years, he still loved how easily he could make her blush.
"Boruto!" she whispered, her face turning an adorable shade of pink. She tried to maintain her composure, but the teasing in front of everyone made it impossible.
Naruto and Hinata, who had been watching the exchange with amused smiles, couldn't help but chuckle. "You two are as lively as ever," Naruto said with a grin.
Sarada, still blushing, lowered her head slightly. "Well, someone has to keep him in line," she muttered, trying to regain her calm.
"Hey, I'm a perfect gentleman!" Boruto protested, wrapping an arm around Sarada's shoulders. "I'm just keeping things interesting."
Sarada gave him a playful nudge, but Boruto leaned in closer, lowering his voice so only she could hear. "Admit it, you missed me while you were at the office."
Her blush deepened, and she quickly turned her attention back to her food, determined not to give him the satisfaction of knowing how flustered she was. But Boruto wasn't about to let it go.
"Come on, Sara," he said with a teasing smile. "I bet you were thinking about me the whole time."
Sarada shot him a look, but it was clear from the way her cheeks burned that he had hit the mark. Boruto chuckled, leaning back in his chair. "See? I knew it."
Himawari, watching the whole thing, laughed along with her brother. "Oni-chan, leave Sarada-nee alone. You're going to make her explode if you keep teasing her like that."
"Eh, she loves it," Boruto replied with a wink, ruffling Sarada's hair. "Right, love?"
Sarada, now thoroughly embarrassed, muttered, "I'm surrounded by children..."
Naruto laughed heartily. "Well, it's good to see everything back to normal. You look a lot better, Sarada."
"Thanks, Dad," Sarada said with a soft smile, feeling the warmth of her family around her. It felt good to be back, laughing, teasing, and enjoying these moments together.
As dinner wrapped up, Sarada leaned back in her chair, feeling content and at peace. Boruto leaned closer, pressing a soft kiss to her temple. "Glad you're feeling better, love. I missed having my Hokage around."
She smiled, feeling her heart warm at his words. "I'm glad to be back."
"And next time," Boruto added, "I promise no more pranks. Cross my heart."
"Good," Sarada said, narrowing her eyes playfully at him. "Because I don't think I can handle another one of your 'surprises.'"
Boruto chuckled, pulling her into a hug. "I'll just stick to teasing you, then."
"Unfortunately, I can't escape that," she sighed, resting her head against his shoulder, her smile betraying her words.
As they all laughed and chatted around the table, Sarada felt at home, knowing that no matter how difficult her day as Hokage was, she would always come back to the love and warmth of her family-especially her mischievous husband.
