By the time Sarada woke up, it was late evening, and she noticed Boruto still asleep beside her. Seizing the opportunity, she carefully slipped out of bed.
(Well, just as Boruto said before, she couldn't stay still for a moment.)
Downstairs, she found Hinata humming softly while washing dishes. With a mischievous smile, Sarada carefully sneaked up behind her, trying her best not to be noticed.
Suddenly, Hinata spoke without even turning around. "Why are you out of bed, Sarada?"
Caught red-handed, Sarada’s cheeks flushed. "Ah... Actually, Mom... y'know, Boruto… he wouldn’t let me get up the entire day. I just couldn’t stay in bed doing nothing!”
Hinata chuckled softly, rinsing a dish. "He’s just worried about you, sweetheart. But you’re right, it must be hard staying still."
Sarada nodded, feeling a bit guilty as she looked down. "I just… didn’t want him worrying so much."
Just then, she heard heavy footsteps, and before she could even turn around, she knew she was caught. Boruto appeared in the doorway, his eyes narrowing when he saw her downstairs.
"Well, well…" he said, crossing his arms, “look who couldn’t stay put.”
Sarada barely had time to react before Boruto walked over, firmly gripping the back of her oversized T-shirt and lifting her up, bringing her face-to-face with him. Sarada’s feet dangled a few inches off the ground as she let out a small yelp, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
“Really, Sarada?” he said, raising a brow. “I leave you for a second, and you’re already sneaking around?”
She pouted, wiggling in his grasp, trying to free herself. “Put me down, Boruto! I’m not a kid!”
Boruto smirked, clearly amused by her struggle. “I don’t know… you’re acting like one, sneaking around like this.”
She huffed, crossing her arms as best she could. “You’re taking advantage of your height again, aren’t you?”
“Oh, absolutely,” he grinned, holding her up a bit higher just to tease her. "You’re practically a little doll in my hands."
[Well, just so yk they 'almost' have the same height difference as Naruhina, as Sarada is the same height as Hinata but Boruto is a little taller than Naruto
So Yeah, you can say it's almost the same]Hinata giggled as she watched their banter, amused by the playfulness between them. “Alright, you two. Sarada, maybe it’s best you listen to Boruto. Rest is what you need most right now.”
Sarada sighed, rolling her eyes. “Fine, fine,” she muttered, still pouting. “But you could’ve at least let me help, Mom.”
Boruto finally set her down but kept a firm hold on her hand, guiding her back upstairs. “Oh no, no more ‘helping’ anyone today. You’re going straight back to bed.”
She grumbled but couldn’t help but smile at his insistence. As they reached their room, Boruto sat her down gently, tucking her back under the blankets with a satisfied smile.
“You’re not sneaking off again, princess,” he said, leaning down and brushing a kiss against her forehead.
She sighed, finally relaxing into the blankets, but not without a teasing smile. “Alright, alright… but just so you know, you’re not the boss of me.”
“Oh really?” he smirked, leaning closer. “We’ll see about that, my lady.”
They shared a laugh, and as Boruto settled beside her once again, Sarada couldn’t help but feel incredibly lucky, surrounded by the warmth of his love and care.
