Sarada: Tsk... (whining and groaning) Boruto... I'm bored...

Boruto glanced at her with a raised eyebrow, instantly catching onto her not-so-subtle attempt.

[Well, Boruto knew exactly what she was referring to-she just needed an excuse to dive back into that pile of paperwork.]

[Although, to be fair, she was actually bored out of her mind.]

Boruto: (crossing his arms) Oh, really? Bored, huh? And let me guess-this "boredom" can only be cured by doing paperwork?

Sarada: (blinking innocently) What? No! That's not what I meant!

Boruto: (leaning closer, smirking) Oh, really? Because it definitely sounds like that's what you meant, Hokage-sama.

Sarada: (groaning dramatically) Ugh, stop calling me that! I'm not trying to sneak my way back into work! I'm just... I don't know...

She trailed off, pouting and crossing her arms, clearly frustrated by her own restlessness.

Boruto: (chuckling softly) You really don't know how to sit still, do you?

Sarada: (glaring half-heartedly) I've been stuck in this bed for two whole days, Boruto. Do you realize how boring it is to just lie here doing nothing?

Boruto: (grinning) Princess, you could literally ask me for anything to entertain you-

Sarada: Anything?

Boruto: (nodding confidently) Anything.

Her eyes sparkled mischievously as she sat up a little straighter, her lips curving into a sly smile.

Sarada: Okay, then let me-

Boruto: (cutting her off, smirking) -Except paperwork.

Sarada: (groaning loudly, flopping back against the pillows) You're impossible!

Boruto: No, you're impossible. You can't even go two days without thinking about work. I mean, come on, Sara, can't you just relax for once?

Sarada: (grumbling) I don't know how to relax...

Boruto softened at her words, scooting closer and brushing a strand of hair away from her face.

Boruto: Well, it's a good thing you have me then. Because I'm going to teach you.

Sarada: (raising an eyebrow) Teach me?

Boruto: Yep! Lesson one in "Relaxation 101" starts now. And rule number one? No paperwork. Ever.

Sarada: (laughing despite herself) You're such an idiot.

Boruto: Maybe, but I'm your idiot.

His playful tone made her laugh again, and for the first time in days, she felt a little less restless. Even if she didn't fully agree, she decided to let him win this one-just for now.
