After a while, Sarada finally stirred awake, her breathing slow and steady as her body adjusted to consciousness. Her gaze was hazy, her eyelids half-closed, and she let out a soft sigh. Still caught in the remnants of sleep, her hand instinctively reached out, searching for the familiar warmth beside her.

Her small hand found Boruto's cheek, her fingers brushing over his whisker marks, gently tracing them. She moved with such softness that it made Boruto freeze for a moment, caught off guard by the tenderness of her touch.

Sarada: (her voice barely a whisper, still groggy) Boruto…

Her fingers continued their slow, unconscious movement, rubbing his whiskers in a way that sent a warm shiver down his spine. She wasn’t fully awake yet, her mind hovering in that peaceful space between dreams and reality, but one thing was clear—she didn’t want to sleep anymore.

Boruto chuckled softly, his hand coming up to gently hold hers against his cheek.

Boruto: Still sleepy, princess?

Her lips twitched into a faint smile, her fingers lightly curling around his cheek before her hazy gaze met his.

Sarada: No… just… don’t wanna close my eyes again. I want to see you.

Her words, simple and honest, struck a chord deep in Boruto’s chest. He leaned forward, his forehead brushing hers as his hand cradled her cheek.

Boruto: (softly) You have no idea how much you mean to me, Sara. I’d let you stare at me forever if it makes you happy.

She let out a quiet laugh, still weak but filled with warmth, her fingers now lazily trailing from his cheek to his jawline.

Sarada: Forever? That’s a long time, you know.

Boruto: (grinning) Forever still wouldn’t be long enough with you.

He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead, lingering there, his lips brushing against her skin. Sarada sighed contentedly, her body relaxing completely as she rested her head back against his chest.

Sarada: Thank you… for being here.

Boruto: Always, my love. Always.

They stayed like that, savoring the peaceful moment, lost in their little world where nothing else mattered but each other.
