Sarada: Boruto...

Boruto: Hmm...? he murmured, looking at her, noticing the pleading glint in her eyes.

Sarada: Can I work a little now?... I'm fine, I promise. She reached for the stack of paperwork Inojin had left, her hand just inches away from it.

Boruto sighed deeply, his eyes narrowing with concern as he quickly moved the papers out of her reach.

Boruto: No, he said firmly. You're still burning up. If you want to do that paperwork, then you better get some rest first.

Sarada frowned a little, her lips sticking out in a cute pout.

Sarada: But Boruto, I—

Boruto: No "buts," he interrupted, his voice softer now but still filled with care. You’re not doing anything until you’re fully rested. No paperwork, no Hokage duties. You need to take care of yourself first.

Sarada huffed, crossing her arms in a mock pout, though it was clear she didn’t have the energy to argue.

Sarada: I’m not a child, you know.

Boruto: I know, he said, leaning in closer, his voice turning teasing. But sometimes, you act like one, and I can’t let you overdo it. Now, get comfortable and take a nap, or I’ll be the one getting mad at you.

Sarada looked up at him, her gaze softening as she saw the worry etched on his face. It was clear that Boruto wasn’t going to let up. And, deep down, she knew he was right. She sighed dramatically, sinking back into the pillows with a playful roll of her eyes.

Sarada: Fine... But I’m not happy about it.

Boruto: You can be unhappy all you want, but you’re resting whether you like it or not, he said, his voice a bit more teasing. He gently tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear, his touch tender. If it makes you feel better, I'll stay right here and keep you company while you rest.

Sarada relaxed a little, closing her eyes as she settled back into the bed. Her mind was still focused on the mountain of work she had to get done, but she could feel Boruto’s warmth beside her, and that comforted her more than anything.

Sarada: You’re really stubborn, you know that?

Boruto: Stubborn? I prefer "caring."

He grinned and leaned back against the headboard, pulling her gently into his side. As Sarada nestled closer to him, her eyes fluttered shut once more, the exhaustion from the fever taking over. She couldn’t fight it anymore.

Sarada: Thank you, Boruto...

Boruto: Anything for you, my lady, he whispered softly, pressing a kiss to her forehead.

For the first time in what felt like forever, Sarada finally let go of her responsibilities, allowing herself to relax in Boruto’s comforting presence.
