The rest of the night passed peacefully, with the Uzumaki household wrapped in warmth and laughter.

Next Morning
Sarada, still half asleep, stirred slightly as the faint morning light peeked through the curtains. She blinked her eyes open just in time to see Boruto, already awake, quietly trying to get out of bed. Without thinking, she reached out, her hand wrapping around his wrist.
Sarada: "Where do you think you're going...?"
Her voice was soft and drowsy, but it carried enough weight to make Boruto pause.Boruto: "Where else? To the office, remember our deal?"
He smiled gently, leaning closer to her.Sarada tightened her hold on his hand, her brows knitting slightly.
Sarada: "You don’t have to go..."
Boruto tilted his head, his eyes narrowing in playful suspicion.
Boruto: "What about our deal? Hmm? I promised I’d do your work for the whole week. Don’t tell me you’re backing out now."
Sarada sighed, her expression softening as she gazed at him.
Sarada: "I know how hard it is for you, Boruto. You don’t have to go. I won’t mind..."
Boruto: "Sara—"
Sarada: "Really, it’s fine. Don’t worry. I’ll complete the pending work when I go back to the office."
Boruto frowned, his lips pursing in thought. He gently pried her hand from his wrist but only to hold it tightly in his own.
Boruto: "It’s not about how hard it is, princess. It’s about you. I promised I’d give you this break, and I’m not letting you stress over work when you’re supposed to be resting."
Sarada gave him a small smile, her heart swelling at his determination.
Sarada: "Boruto..."
Boruto: "Nope. No arguments. You’re staying in bed, end of story."
He leaned down, brushing a soft kiss on her forehead.
Boruto: "Besides, I kind of enjoy bossing people around. Maybe being Hokage isn’t so bad after all."
Sarada chuckled, her eyes sparkling despite her lingering sleepiness.
Sarada: "Don’t get used to it, Mr. Temporary Hokage."
Boruto: "Don’t worry, love. I’d rather have you yelling at me than deal with all that paperwork anyway."
She laughed lightly, her hand still holding his as her eyes fluttered shut again.
Sarada: "Fine, but don’t overdo it. And don’t mess up the filing system; I worked hard to organize it."
Boruto: "Yes, ma’am!"
With that, he carefully tucked the blanket around her and stood up. As he headed out of the room, he glanced back one more time, his smile softening at the sight of her.
Boruto: "I’ll handle everything. You just focus on getting better, my princess."
He closed the door quietly behind him, determined to keep his promise.
