Two days passed peacefully. Sarada had made a full recovery, her energy restored, and the light in her eyes was back. She was itching to return to her duties as Hokage.

That morning, as they sat at the breakfast table, Sarada finally brought up the topic.

Sarada: "Boruto, I think it’s time I rejoin the office."

Boruto paused mid-bite, raising an eyebrow.
Boruto: "What? No way. Our deal was for a week, Sarada. You still have three days left."

Sarada: "I know, but I’m fine now. I’ve fully recovered, and honestly, I miss being in the office."

Boruto crossed his arms, his expression firm.
Boruto: "You say you’re fine, but just a few days ago, you were burning up with a fever. What if you overwork yourself again? I promised to cover for you, and I’m going to keep that promise."

Sarada sighed, leaning forward.
Sarada: "Boruto, I appreciate how much you’ve done for me these past few days, but I can’t sit around while the village needs me. Besides, I trust Shikadai to make sure I don’t overexert myself. You trust him too, don’t you?"

Boruto hesitated, his resolve wavering.
Boruto: "Of course, I trust Shikadai, but I also know how stubborn you are. You’ll say you’ll take it easy, and then you’ll dive headfirst into work."

Sarada smiled softly, reaching across the table to take his hand.
Sarada: "I promise to take it slow. You can even stop by during the day to check on me if it makes you feel better."

Boruto sighed, running a hand through his hair.
Boruto: "You’re impossible, you know that?"

Sarada grinned, leaning closer.
Sarada: "And yet, you still married me."

He chuckled, finally giving in.
Boruto: "Fine. But the moment I hear you’re pushing yourself too hard, I’m dragging you back home, deal or no deal."

Sarada: "Deal."

---

That afternoon, Sarada returned to the Hokage’s office. The staff greeted her warmly, relieved to see their leader back in action. Shikadai had done an excellent job holding things together, and he gave her a full report on everything that had happened in her absence.

Shikadai: "It’s good to have you back, Sarada. But are you sure you’re ready? Boruto’s been pretty protective these past few days."

Sarada chuckled, shaking her head.
Sarada: "He means well, but I’m fine now. Thanks for handling everything while I was gone, Shikadai."

Shikadai: "No problem. Just don’t overdo it, okay? I don’t want to deal with Boruto if something happens to you."

Sarada: "Don’t worry, I’ve got it under control."

---

Later that evening, Sarada returned home, feeling accomplished but not overly tired. Boruto greeted her at the door, his expression both relieved and scrutinizing.

Boruto: "How was it? Did you take it easy?"

Sarada: "It was fine, Boruto. I didn’t push myself. Shikadai made sure of that."

He narrowed his eyes playfully.
Boruto: "Hmm, I’ll be the judge of that. Come on, sit down and relax. Dinner’s almost ready."

Sarada laughed, allowing herself to be fussed over.
Sarada: "You’re really serious about this, huh?"

Boruto: "Of course. I’m not letting my princess overwork herself ever again."

Sarada smiled, leaning into him.
Sarada: "Thanks, Boruto. For everything."

He kissed the top of her head, wrapping an arm around her.
Boruto: "Anything for you, my love."
