Around half an hour later, Hinata returned to the room with a tray holding two separate plates: something light for Sarada and a normal dinner for Boruto. She smiled warmly at the two, setting the tray down on the nightstand.

Boruto gently shook Sarada’s shoulder, trying to wake her. "Sara, love, wake up. It’s time to eat something."

Sarada, still deep in sleep, instinctively tightened her grip on Boruto’s hand, clutching it even tighter. Her face scrunched up slightly as she mumbled something barely audible. "Boruto... stay...me... Please…" Her words were soft and slurred, still trapped in the haze of sleep.

Boruto and Hinata both exchanged amused glances, and a soft chuckle escaped their lips. Sarada’s sleepy, clingy demeanor was adorable, and Boruto’s heart swelled at the way she clung to him even in her dreams.

"She’s so cute when she’s half-asleep," Boruto whispered, his eyes filled with fondness as he stroked her hair.

Hinata smiled warmly at the scene. "She really is," she agreed. Then, in her usual gentle voice, she said, "Sweetheart, you need to eat something."

Hearing her mother-in-law’s voice, Sarada stirred slowly, her lashes fluttering as she blinked her eyes open. She looked up at Hinata and then over at Boruto, her grip still firm on his hand. "Mo-m...,Boruto....., W-What happened?" she asked groggily, her voice thick with sleep.

Boruto leaned closer, brushing a few strands of hair away from her face. "You were sleeping, but it’s time to eat now, Sara. Mom made something light for you."

Sarada blinked a few more times, her sleepy mind trying to catch up. "Oh... I fell asleep again," she murmured, trying to sit up. Boruto immediately helped her, his hand steady on her back.

"It’s okay," Boruto reassured her. "You needed the rest. Now, eat a little, alright? I’ll help you."

Sarada nodded slowly, still feeling a bit tired but grateful for the care she was receiving. Hinata handed her the light meal she had prepared, and Sarada started to eat with Boruto right beside her, making sure she was comfortable.
