As the weather got warmer, and in the middle of the daisies field where they sat down. The blue gem of her necklace shined through while her hand found a way towards it.

Ida built up the habit of playing with the necklace whenever she is struggling to figure her feelings out. But that time it was a pure embarrassment, She had the love of her life sitting right next to her.

Silas lied down not too far from them, she was so relaxed and decided to take a nap.

While the wind moved the pretty daisies, a petal got stuck into her beautiful long hair.

Elmer's gentle fingers reach out to get the petal out of Ida's hair which caused her to blush.

"How have you been Adelia? tell me all about it"

He smiled softly looking her straight in the eyes, asking to hear her sweet voice and to see her face make so many different expressions.

For a moment there they were both taken to their old hang out place, which was the little fountain in the back garden of the royal palace. It made them realize how much it never mattered where or when, as long as they were next to each other.

Adelia went ahead and spoke of how her days has been going and for a second there, her quiet and shy self was no longer there.

It almost made Elmer forget Alma's words. He has never seen her so down nor so quiet before.

He could not hide that he felt very special at that moment, but he also wished she could live happily even if he was not around and the prince has gotten himself into a point of his life where he could easily die and vanish from that world as if he has never existed before.

"Am very happy to hear that you are getting along with the girls"

Once Elmer said those words as a reply to her different stories from the past months, she was reminded by Alma and the scene of his hand patting her hair.

Ida did not know how to describe the emotion that took over her heart at that moment but it was very unpleasant.

"You know, everyday I fear that it might be my last"

The prince said, his tone was serious, his words scared her.

"It's not because am scared of death, I know even if I leave, there is someone who could make a better king than anyone else"

Elmer said referring to Louis.

"But whenever I think of you, and the possibility of you crying over it, I just want to fight my way through the hardest day, hoping that you are smiling and thinking of me too, somewhere far away but not too far, do you know what I mean?"

He laughed a little while expressing himself.

The words he was very confident she would feel happy for hearing, turned out to be the same words drawing a sad expression on her face, her beautiful eyelashes wet trying not to shed a tear.

No one would like to hear about how the person the care for the most in the world might just die and vanish from this world.

Yet her out of everyone, she loved him like no one else and even though she knew of his hard situation and how most people would prefer him dead, wether for the sake of the gold prize or to fulfill their duty as the king's knights.

"I don't want it"

She said,

"No matter how peaceful this world gets, I do not want a word without you"

Even when her eyes dropped the prettiest tears for his sake while expressing her feelings, Elmer's heart has never felt happier before.

He immediately pulled her into his arms, his hand patting the back of her head gently, her small arms wrapped around his waist just like his other one did to hers.

Even though she cried, Ida was embarrassed once the words she were said played on repeat in her mind.

'I can not let go of her, she is so precious'

The first prince thought while blushing, he was really happy to hear those words, he has always been the one expressing his feelings towards her, he knew it was mutual for so long now, but putting in the courage to say it out loud meant a lot to him.

"I feel the same Adelia, I can not live in a world without you, so let's do our best together until the very end"

Elmer said assuring her that he also wished for it to be their last time saying goodbye.

"Also about earlier..."

The prince said while finally letting her take a breath after a while of her face being buried in his chest.

Looking at each other, both parties cheeks were slightly pink, especially hers.

"Am sorry if it bothered you, the way I patted Alma's head, it is a habit I got because of Edmund, But I only love you and would not want to do anything that might hurt you the slightest"

Adelia's eyes sparkled at his words, she wondered what made him think she was upset about it.

"Alma told me that she really likes being your friend, she was worried about you all this time but don't tell her that I told you"

The first prince smiled back at her lovely smiling face while still wrapping his arms around her.

"I also like being friends with everyone else..."

She said before hiding her face with both her hands adding,

"But am contently worried about you"

He could not describe how happy he felt, trying to move her hands gently, taking a look at her bright red face.

"Adelia, We will be fine, I promise you that I will always come back to you, so please do not worry and have faith in me"

She had never lost faith in him, she did believe in him way longer than he thought, but she still reassured him of it,

"I have faith in you, my prince"

Ida said watching his face smile softly at her words.

They did not know how much they healed each other just by being there, but they knew for sure that they would not be apart for so long...
