Ivor walked around that small village, a lot of people moved out since then so it looked a lot more quiet than before.

Everything in sight was dressed in a beautiful bridal white.

He greeted many neighbours on his way.

Everyone was so proud of that little kid. Not only he made it so far to be only second to Lydia's king as his advisor but they all knew that he is protecting their village, and so no guards ever came around.

The tall man finally made it to his house and could not wait to go in.

He knocked on the door and waited.

An older man opened the door and looked pretty surprised since Ivor never told them he was going to visit even though he usually does.

"Ivor!"

Marc wrapped him in his arms as if he was seeing the same small baby from years ago.

"Am home, dad"

Ivor said.

They both walked in after that warm welcome.

He then walked towards the fireplace where her chair was placed.

She smiled at their footsteps, even though she did not hear his voice she knew.

"Is my dear son home?"

She wondered through her sweet voice.

Ivor approached her. Kneeled down and held her warm hands, replying,

"Yes mom, am home"

"Welcome back dear"

She said while setting her arms wide open for him, only to rest his head on her and get gently wrapped in her arms.

That was the only moment he felt alive.

Whenever he saw his parents, he always wanted to live longer and make them happier, prouder.

It also pained him, each and every time he sees them because they keep growing up. And it scared him.

He tried many times to keep them closer by bringing them into the palace or anywhere in Kardia.

Yet they wouldn't want to give up the place they were born and raised in.

They couldn't, they thought that's where they belong.

"How have you been?"

The three of them sat on their chairs near the warm fire, sharing a hot drink.

The mother asked.

"It has been very busy and will only get busier, so i thought I should stop by soon"

Ivor replied.

"You look so tired"

Marc said.

"Yeah, are you sleeping enough?"

Eliz asked.

She couldn't see his exhausted body, but she felt his soul and heart.

"Am fine! Stop worrying"

He smiled, complaining to his parents.

"I will be staying for almost ten days"

They were both surprised by his words.

He never stays longer than four days.

Both Marc and Eliz were happy, but they couldn't help it feeling so worried.

It took him almost two days to arrive home, he did look tired and so they did not want to pressure him.
