'One Last Chance'

Once the sun was up again, he woke up in his empty bed.

Had the same old lifeless look in his eyes and the same empty feeling inside of his lost soul.

After staring into the golden ceiling for a while, he decided to get up.

Removed the blanket and got out of the warm bed.

Leo's upper body was naked.

The muscles he trained so hard to get in his twenties looked even better as he approached the end of his thirties.

He immediately stepped towards the door and walked into the other side of his room.

Weapons of all kind hanged on the wall, huge metal weights for him to use.

He stopped coming into that room for a while, yet it looked like Elmer has been giving him all the motivation he needs to start his day and go on about it.

After showering and getting all dressed up, Leo took a moment to stare at the same old mirror, he once had.

All he could see is someone standing next to him.

A long hair, green emerald eyes and a nice red dress.

He could still smell the scent of roses.

A knocking on his door interrupted his thoughts.

Leo walked away from those memories.

There were four guards waiting for him by the opened door.

Ivor was also standing there and just by looking at his face he could feel that things were not really going his way.

The king made his way through them, walking towards the throne's room.

Followed by Ivor and two guards.

Once he stepped into the room and took place on his throne only to face the four.

They were all down on one knee.

The news of their failure must have Benn shocking not only to Leo but to themselves as well.

"Your majesty, please allow me to take responsibility, this has been my fault for celebrating too early, if not for me, we would have easily brought you the prince back"

Evan said.

No one dared to step up for her, after all they knew that she was the one to blame.

She never expected a single chance of failure, but it looked like she did underestimate the prince which led them all there.

"Evan"

Leo's voice was terrifying, once called that way, she knew her punishment would not be an easy one.

"Do you think I want to hear your excuses?"

The king asked.

"I gave you everything you have, I can easily burn it all to the ground, whether it's a home or a person, I could not careless"

He then added.

"He is trapped outside of Kardia, make him try to come back and by that I mean do whatever it takes, burn villages, take away their daughters, I must hear the suffering from inside these walls, make it reach him too, he gets weak when it comes to the people"

The king said, ordering not only the hunters but all of his guards and knights.

"This is your last chance, if you ever fail me again, you know what would happen"

Leo's words were clear. He was willing to shed every single drop of blood to the ground in order to get to Elmer.

He was the one and only king for Lydia and he would never let anyone take that away from him.
