The Good King

'New Era'

Everyone left the throne room except for the king and his advisor.

Even though it was such a messy day for all of them, he was glad that it came to an end without anyone getting hurt.

''You might leave Ivor''

Leo said, looking back towards the man standing beside him.

''My king, I want to ask for a leave permission.''

Ivor then said.

The King knew that the man had a lonely mom living on the other side of Lydia, and he had to go see her from time to time.

''Two weeks''

Leo replied.

''Thank you My king, I will be taking my leave starting tomorrow then.''

Ivor said before he finally excused himself and left the room.

Once that man walked inside of his work room, he let out a heavy sgh, Ivor was very tired.

'Prince Louis did well today'

He then thought to himself. Ivor sat down on his desk willing to get some work done before he leaves tomorrow morning.

At that same moment and while Asher was calmly sitting down watching the night's sky, his friend was walking around back and forth.

Ezra was clearly mad.

''I swear that as*hole is getting worse by each passing day''

He shouted.

''Calm down Ezra, nothing happened and Aylin is with Elmer, everything will be fine''

The red haired knight replied.

He was of course worried, but he had no choice but to put his faith in them.

''No, I mean the way he is always targeting you. He is so childish for that!''

That was what made Ezra go mad. Whenever things went messy, Leo would try to kill Asher as if he holds so much hate against that man.

Even though Asher lived with them in the palace since his father passed away.

''I did say some harsh words to him when we were younger.''

Asher said, referring to the day he made Leo cry by telling him that he could not become the king.

''I don't care. He is becoming crazier, I can not stand him anymore!''

Ezra was furious yet still tried to calm himself down.

''Elmer is our last hope, we must make this work''

He then added.

''After the prince's speech, I feel so relieved, I couldn't care less about Leo''

Asher said.

Was it his words, his calm voice, his sharp eyes, or his one second lasting soft smile that put Ezra's worried heart at ease?

The dark-haired knight finally managed to sit down, taking in a deep breath before his cheerful self was back.

''Elmer was so cool! don't you think so?''

He excitedly said.

Asher nodded, his head agreeing.

The second prince walked into the advisor's room, closing the door behind him.

Ivor was waiting for him. He immediately welcomed him.

"Good evening, my prince."

The prince greeted him back.

"Good evening."
