The sky was so blue and clear, not a single cloud to be seen upon him as he looked up, took in a deep breath before he jumped off his horse.
"You heard that?"
Hawk asked.
"Yes"
Elmer replied while pulling his sword out.
"Then get back on your horse! ELMER"
Hawk shouted in anger, it seems like the prince never listens to him at all.
"Just five men, we can do this"
Elmer simply replied, walking Silas back and tying him up to a tree, then walked back to his position, Hawk was really mad, but he stepped back, his bow and arrow in hand.
The running footsteps did sound closer by each passing second until five men showed up.
Two royal guards and three other men.
Hawk and Elmer immediately realized that the three worked for Theodore.
Once they were exposed, an arrow hit the right shoulder of one knight, they barely saw that archer in the back while their eyes were pointed on the prince.
Elmer did not feel confident to attack, since the three man had literal axes in their hands. One wrong move and he would be a dead body on a cold blood lake.
"I will cover for you"
Hawk shouted, he was shooting his second arrow carefully and aimed for one of Theodore's men.
The arrow did not miss that shoulder, but the man simply broke it leaving half of it inside of him and kept walking towards Elmer as if nothing happened.
"What the..."
Hawk whispered before shooting yet a third arrow aiming for the same man, this time the chest.
The man did the same, broke the arrow and this time started running towards the prince which got Hawk to shoot his fourth arrow towards the meg, then the chest of the only knight left.
Three men were hardly down.
The two axed men swung their weapons while reaching the prince who was ready and waiting for their attacks.
Elmer took a deep breath in, closed his eyes and get in position.
Hawk finally got his sword ready and rushed towards Elmer, right before he reached the scene.
The prince's eyes were wide open, he ran towards the two targeting their hands, both men's axes fell down covered in their own blood within seconds.
He then turned towards Hawk who stood still in shock.
"I told you we can do this"
The first prince did celebrate earlier than expected, because losing their axes or having bloody hands, did not seem to stop them at all.
Time slowed down while Elmer turned his back on his enemies, Hawk ran as fast as he could while those hands reached to the prince in front in them.
The wind moved his short golden hair, the air felt too strong and it was not just natural.
Not a sound to be heard, just blood splashing into the empty space.
A falling sound on the ground, a strange silence, a very surprised look on the prince's face, as if what just happened seemed pretty hard to believe.
Between him and the two bodies. His saviors stood tall.
Hawk had his sword in hand, crimson drops were falling off it.
