While everyone's eyes shut closed, falling into their happiest dreams, hers were wide open.

Adelia's worried heart prevented her from sleeping for countless nights.

How could she not worry about someone she's loved for many years.

That starry night took her back to a sunny day.

Back where she lived with her uncle.

Adelia has always been a quiet child, she would never talk back or defend herself.

Right after her mother passed away, she had no one but her uncle and his wife.

They did not treat her well at all, and once they could no longer afford to feed another mouth, she was sold as a slave at the age of seven.

"We found nothing yet"

The red-haired knight said approaching his king.

It seemed like many knights gathered around that one city as they were suspecting some illegal practices going on.

"Keep looking"

Hiram replied.

His expression looked very serious until that child ran towards him, he softly smiled at his one and only son.

"What is it Elmer?"

Hiram asked.

"Cat!"

Was Elmer's reply, he was a little scared of the cat who was sitting alone in the corner minding her own business but he still wished to try and pat her fur at least once.

He just needed someone to encourage him.

"Don't worry, she looks like a nice cat"

Right before Hiram walks towards the cat, Ezra called for him.

"We found something!"

He immediately turned into one of the guards asking,

"Please keep an eye on Elmer"

"Yes your majesty!"

Was that man's reply.

"I will right back"

Hiram then smiled at his child before running towards the rest of the knights.

The guard was moving along side with the prince, who was slowly approaching the little cat.

She opened her eyes slowly and looked at him.

He was startled. But he wanted to be brave.

Elmer closed his eyes and put his hand on the cat's little head.

The little prince could not handle the cuteness of the cat rubbing her head over his hand as if she was asking for his affection.

Even the guard found that scene adorable and kept watching them until his friend called.

It sounded serious and so he had no choice but to run towards where his friend's calling voice came from.

Elmer and the little cat became friends in that short time. He was smiling while playing with her until he heard a weird voice.

He could not identify what it was.

Even the cat got startled and made a quick run leaving him there alone worried, confused and also curious.

The little prince took a look from the corner he was next to, just to see where that voice came from.

There was a little girl trying to carry a big vegetables basket by herself, yet she did struggle, and seemed to have fallen down.
