It was a warm morning with a flawless blue sky. Everything around did look more colorful.
The red-haired knight was getting ready to lead the trainees into their first real tasks that were to take a place on one of Kardia's villages.
A voice interrupted him as he patted his horses hair.
"Why did you send Aylin away?"
Louis asked.
Asher turned to take a look at that face, he had such an exhausted expression with a touch of despair.
The prince was obviously blaming him.
"You think I wanted to?"
Asher asked, he sounded as hateful of the idea as Louis if not more.
"How long?"
Louis then asked.
"One or two weeks, finding Elmer will not be easy"
The knight replied.
The silence fell upon that space, they stared at each other quietly.
Ezra stepped in, pretending that he was not listening to their conversation.
"We're ready!"
He said with his bright smile then looked towards Louis and asked,
"You're joining us too?"
Louis glared replying with another question,
"Why else am I here?"
The second prince then left them behind and went to get his horse ready.
Ezra sighed right away,
"That kid can be scary"
He then turned towards his friend still smiling, hit his shoulder lightly,
"Let's go!"
And dragged him out to join the rest of the trainees who were waiting with the General by the palace's open gate.
Inside that mansion that took place in the heart of the royal city.
Lord Theodore had his men ready.
They were dressed like commoners as he thought it could help them catch Elmer in no time.
"We got the king's approval, bring me prince Elmer's head, whether it's still attached to his body or not"
He smirked, saying those words so heartlessly getting the "Yes my lord" before his men stepped outside.
On that high rooftop Aylin was sitting while watching everyone around her, she did already check many villages.
Elemer was nowhere to be found.
She thought that it is a good thing, if she finds it hard to find him theb he is probably safe, yet she could not help feeling worried.
While sitting there, staring at those faces trying so hard to catch a familiar one among them, those faces turned blurry as she got lost in her thoughts or lost in a very recent memory.
It was her first kiss after all, even if their lips did not touch, it was the act.
Yet for Aylin the words he said were more important.
She has been confessed to before, she reads romance novels but when it comes to reality she doesn't know what love is.
She does not know what's the difference between loving Asher, Elmer and Louis.
Even though they should go by Family, Friend and Lover.
She also could not believe those words. She killed so many people without flinching.
Louis knew nothing about her, or where she came from.
Aylin had a long story, not a very happy one and she did not know if she could ever be ready to share it with him.
Not because she has never told anyone before.
But because she was scared that he would take his confession back.
Aylin was not just scared, she was so sure of that.
Only if she knew...
"Isn't that...?"
She suddenly spoke at the sight of a man dressed all in black.
She could easily recognize Venator.
But since he was amongst the crowds, she could not risk just showing up in front of everyone.
She looked so suspicious.
"I should have brought a pair of clothes to change into"
Aylin sighed in regret.
"Let's focus Aylin! We can think about Louis later"
She said as she got up and started following him from afar, keeping her distance.
The Petrain followed him into an empty alley.
He then looked towards her eyes, so she knew he saw her.
Venator sent his daggers flying towards her.
'Where did he go?'
The hunter wondered as Aylin was nowhere to be seen.
"Hi"
She said while standing right behind him.
As a reaction to the shock, he immediately stepped away from her quickly.
She took off her mask, and he was very surprised to see her.
"You?"
He said.
Aylin smiled because she knew that she had found Elmer.
In that rented room, everyone got back except for Venator.
Rose and Alex were in their own world talking to each other while sitting on the bed.
Mirai was cleaning his chain even though it was already cleaned.
Meanwhile, Evan was listening to Victor telling Elmer all of the stories he missed when he was away from the palace.
"Louis did it!"
The first prince sounded so excited to hear that.
"Yes! Prince Louis is one of the strongest trainees now if not the strongest"
Victor replied.
"How is Edmund?"
Elmer then asked.
"He is doing well, he grew up and now he has a mere he is taking care of"
Victor's answer got the prince smiling.
Hawk was standing next to the window waiting for Venator to come back.
Yes he was expecting the worse.
Yet not long after that.
The hunter stepped into the room, everyone turned to look back at him.
Behind him stood a hooded person who was all covered in black.
"Aylin!"
Elmer got up and rushed towards her, he could recognize her immediately.
Aylin took off her hood and mask, smiled before hugging him...
