A/N - goofy ahh title

Here's another one shot that I wrote during class :D

I'm trying out a new, comedic genre for this story.

Other than that, I'm also trying to build up my stock of one shots so I could post when school gets real busy.

And once again, I need your ideas!

Alright, now let's jump straight into the story. Enjoy <3

- Third Person's POV -

Lately, you have decided that you weren't going to spend your summer just moping and laying around in bed.

In the spur of the moment, you booked a ticket to the nearest ice rink.

It was so stupid. You were the only one in the whole arena that wasn't with a group of friends. Why did you even try out a new sport when you knew it wasn't your strongest suit.

You were holding onto the railings for dear life, trying your best to not fall flat on your face for the hundredth time that day.

After a few more attempts, you grew more and more sure of yourself to stand up all on your own.

Taking a leap of faith, you let go of the railings and began to glide across the icy surface.

You dodged and turned from the other people playing around, being rather happy and proud that you were able to come to such an achievement.

However, as some time passed by, you grew cocky on your own newfound skills.

You decided to try out a few tricks, weaving through the crowd and catching many people in surprise.

After a while, your close calls and dodgy attempts all had to come to an end. Your luck ran out.

There was a boy. Perhaps he was your age, just a little bit older.

He had his phone set against the railing, filming himself spinning around nervously on the ice. Judging from his appearance, he didn't seem like the guy to document his life through pictures and videos.

You suddenly felt bad. Maybe you shouldn't skate through his phone and hog the camera like that.

You reached out for the railings and tried to stop yourself at the last possible second. Suddenly, you realized that you had made a terrible mistake.

Leaning back way too far than you actually needed to, your hands held on for dear life as the boy watched you struggle to stand next to his phone.

Finally, you made one wrong move and slipped, your hand accidently swatting the phone from the railings to the ground.

Your focus now was solely on trying not to step on the phone and shatter the protectively glass with the blade of your skate.

During your struggles, you accidentally slid over the phone camera while it was recording. Now, it had a zoomed-in shot of your bum.

Great.

The boy immediately knelt by your side, crouching as low as he could next to you without falling over himself.

"Are you okay?" he asked worriedly, his eyes on you as he reached his hand out.

"No, not really," you muttered, your face a furious shade of red as you stood up shakily. The boy awkwardly tucked his hands back into his pockets.

You picked up the phone and handed it back to the boy, muttering a weak "sorry" before skating off into a distance.

You knew that you shouldn't run off like that, especially since the guy did you no wrong and was exceptionally kind to you.

Even so, you only had one concern in your mind.

A boy, the stranger, had a not-so charming video clip of you.

After spending the next half hour gathering your courage, you skated around the ice rink to look for the boy again.

"Hey," you smiled, a little too eagerly, "Were you the guy from before?"

The boy looked confused for a second, before having his eyes lighting up at the realization.

"Oh, yeah. I am," he grinned back shyly, "What's up?"

"I would like you to delete the video of me in it," you started hesitantly, lowering your voice down to a small whisper, "You know, since I nearly sat on your phone camera."

"Oh, right," the boy immediately opened his phone, checking through his gallery, "I've actually already deleted it when you ran away. You could check it for yourself, if you want."

You were surprised. He had deleted it already? You never took him to be such a sweetheart and a gentleman.

"No, that's alright," you sighed in relief, "Thanks anyway."

"Nico!" a voice called, revealing a girl with dark, curly hair. "I'm sorry I was late, Frank couldn't find his gloves."

"I got to go," you nodded your head at the boy, Nico. That was his name. "It was nice meeting you."

Nico chuckled fondly and waved goodbye, "See you around."

A/N - hmm. I think this was more embarrassing than comedic. Especially for you, poor Y/N.

Anyway! That's the story I have for you all today. Who knows if Y/N and Nico would ever meet again. Maybe with better skating skills then.
