A/N - we're getting closer to me actually finishing writing my novella. It isn't anything so super cool, so I thought I might be able to share it in a wattpad book. Would you guys be interested in reading?

I'm currently trying to build up my stocks of oneshots before the school load starts to hit. I still want to be consistent in my uploading schedule, posting on the weekends every time.

Daniel must have read the room wrongly, because he quickly said, "Oh no, I didn't mean to doubt what the two of you guys had. I-I didn't want to know if..."

He gulped, fiddling with his fingers shyly, "If Y/N is open for dating."

You chuckled, amused at Daniels shenanigans, "Yeah. I'm open."

"Great!" Daniel grinned, almost splitting his face in half. That's amazing, even. Um, may I pick you up for dinner tonight?"

"At six," you smirked, "And I must be home by ten-thirty."

"Deal," Dan replied breathlessly as you and Nico stood up to leave, "See you then, princess."

Nico's heart shattered completely. He stood up, smiling weakly as he mumbled, "I just forgot that I needed to do... stuff."

With that, he bolted to the Hades cabin. Nico slammed the door closed and fell down sobbing to the ground. What had he done?

It was a disaster. The girl he loved, and he was sure loved him back, was off on a date with a guy she just met yesterday. What has gotten over you?

It was too late now.

- Third Person's POV -

The next few months were awful. Nico had to spend his time watching you hold hands, kiss, and cuddle with Daniel. Right in front of his eyes.

You must have really thought Nico meant it when he said that he wasn't in love with you. Gods, how much he wanted to prove how wrong you were.

Every time Nico laid eyes on you, it felt as if he fell in love with you all over again and again and again. 

It was torture. 

Why couldn't he hold you? Why couldn't he love you the way he dreamed of loving all these years?

One day, Nico and Daniel were hanging out together. Just because Daniel was dating the girl of his dreams, doesn't mean that Nico had to have an ill relationship with your boyfriend. You are, after all, his best friend.

"I've been meaning to tell you something," Daniel said suddenly, chucking a rock across the lake as it skipped over the water three times.

"Oh, please," Nico rolled his eyes sarcastically, skipping his rock four times over. "Do tell. I'm so very interested."

Daniel threw another rock, making five skips as he turned to Nico. "I know you're still in love with Y/N."

Nico's rock sank with a small plop!

He looked at Daniel with eyes full of shock. "How long have you known?"

"From the start," Dan shrugged. "It was super obvious, actually. I am the son of Aphrodite, dude."
