I have never revealed my nationality or where I come from, but it all ends here.
I am Indonesian, and proud to be. I love my country. I love my nation.
However, this era has brought my pride to the test. To see if I can still be truly, genuinely bold with my identity as an Indonesian.
I heed you all to read.
The world has to know.
The world has to see.
I will not stay quiet about it.
There is terrible chaos in Indonesia as we speak. The people are protesting loudly against the unfair system that the government has set upon the civilians.
Unjust rulings in economical and social standpoints are prevailing in this ruckus, causing the lives of many to be beaten, bruised, or taken away.
I will state it plain and shortly:
People are getting killed.
People are getting kidnapped.
People are silenced.
Fear has struck my nation.
Race has been brought to the argument. Money has risen into debate. And I will not stay quiet.
Post on your own social media platforms, whatever it may be. Spread the word and raise awareness of my country's situation today to your friends, family, and neighbors.
I don't care who you are or where you came from. People support people. And I want to live another day.
I'm in high school and still of a young age. Though I can't state it explicitly, I am still a growing teenager. There is so much to life that I haven't lived yet.
But note this: I. Will. Not. Stay. Quiet.
