A/N - Hii you guys know that I post every weekend, right?

Now, I'm considering posting twice a week, but I want to know at what date would you guys prefer to have my oneshots uploaded?

I was thinking about Wednesdays, but it's up to you guys.

Anyway, this oneshot might be a little bit unique and different, but the excitement is still there!

Alright, enough talking. Let's get right into the story.

Enjoy!

- Third person's POV -

You were always, always in the center of attention.

You adored the spotlight, adjusting your hobbies of singing and dance to be part of the school performance team.

Whenever your high school hosted an event for all to see, you would always be first in line for auditions.

Of course, as a child of G/P, you were a natural and got into every role you wanted.

To everyone's surprise, your boyfriend was none other than Nico di Angelo.

He was a quiet boy, always hanging out in the shadows and refusing to talk to strangers.

There isn't a single person in the school that isn't confused as to why you would choose such a type. For crying out loud, you were a performer! Shouldn't you be with someone who was more... I don't know, exciting?

But Nico had always been your first choice, and you stuck to it.

He made you feel safe and loved, always giving you the best hugs and kisses. Not to mention how cute and handsome he was.

Your one-year anniversary since your first date with Nico was coming around the corner, along with the next talent show that the school was hosting for the parents and student body.

To your surprise, the school held a lot, where all the singers and dancers were matched to a mysterious band or musician.

As a twist, you wouldn't be told who the musician or band would be until the day of the talent show.

You would only be able to know the show that was going to be performed, and practice according to it.

"Yikes, what a cheesy pick," you grumbled, showing Nico a little note with the song title on it. "How do they expect me to sing and dance to that?"

"Hey, it's catchy," Nico chuckled, "Besides, I know you secretly like this choice."

You blushed furiously, "My music taste in my room and in front of my friends should always be considered to be two different things, you know that!"

Nico laughed as you buried your face into his chest in embarrassment, "I'm sure you're going to do just fine."

"Says you," you pouted, looking up at Nico with such adorable, sweet eyes that he loved and adored. "The show would be so much better if you were up there performing with me."

Nico only shrugged as a response. "One day, my darling. One day."

~ time skip ~

To your dismay, on the day of the Talent Show, a teacher went over to you to inform you that the band you were supposed to be performing with had cancelled at the last minute.

"It was supposed to be Kyle and the Superflashes," the teacher explained, "But his members all partied so hard last night that they couldn't stop puking in the morning."

She wrinkled her nose in disapproval. "Teenagers," she mumbled bitterly under her breath.

Once she left, you turned to Nico with a sullen look in your eyes.

"I know everyone thinks Kyle and the Superflashes aren't brilliant or anything," you said sadly, "But it would be real awkward if I'm the only one who doesn't have a group."

"I thought you liked being on stage?" Nico teased, trying his best to make you smile again. He hated when you weren't smiling. "Does it really matter if someone is up there with you or not?"

"But it's a band, Neeks," you whined grumpily, "And everyone knows having a band to back you up is way cooler than having music blasting off the artificial speakers."

Nico went quiet for a while, seeming as if he was currently deep in thought.

You watched him for a while as his eyes strayed across the auditorium and onto a spare guitar on the floor.

"Is having a musician in replace of a band enough for you?" Nico smiled, a little twinkle in his eyes.

Before you could even gasp in surprise, the hosts called you onto the stage.

Nico picked up the guitar with one hand and wrapped the other arm around your waist.

"Let's play our song, love," Nico whispered into your ear, "Iris by goo goo dolls."

Safe to say that the performance went well. The crowd was singing along with you, and even Nico pitched in a verse or two.

You and Nico ended the song in a gentle sway, sealing the whole thing with a bow and a proud smile on your faces.

Truth be told, Nico never really minded being on stage or in the center of attention.

As long as it was with you.
