A/N - welcome to the second part!
I really loved working on all your requests. If yours isn't posted yet, I can assure you that they're all already in my drafts and ready to be posted soon!
There's not much for me to say here. So, enjoy!
~ flashback ~
"Call me when you're ready," you smiled softly, slowly heading out of the door, "I'll come back to you straight away."
You paused, allowing Nico some time to say something back. If he wanted to.
When his lips showed no signs of uttering any words, you walked out of his cabin.
You hesitantly took out a bracelet you made for the two of you. It had pretty beads tied together with string. Sure, it was a bit crappy, but you spend a good amount of your time on it.
You had carved your initials together with Nico's only the wooden beads, painting them in each your favorite colors.
Looking back at the dark cabin door, you had to force down your tears. You wanted to cry. You missed what the two of you had once had.
You gently placed the bracelet on the porch, sighing softly as you prayed to the gods for another chance.
Just one more chance.
- Third Person's POV -
Once you left, Nico slid down against the door. He pulled his legs closer and hugged his knees to his chest, burying his head into his arms.
"I'm sorry, darling," he croaked out, his eyes burning with unshed tears, "Please, forgive me."
He had been purposefully avoiding you, trying to create some sort of distance before you fell for him even more.
He knew how you were in the relationship. You were the loving, caring, sweet type. Just the girl he adored and treasured all of his life.
But gods, he knew he was hurting you.
The closer Gaea was to attacking and starting the war, the closer it was to losing everyone he loves. That includes you.
Nico tilts his head up slightly, looking at the large map that hung on his wall. You had assumed he was just really into geography, and thought that he was a dorky kind of cute.
Nico smiled softly, slowly getting back up.
He had a mission, knowing what it might cost him in the future.
If he had to sacrifice his relationship with you just to make sure you'll stay alive, then so be it.
You had so much to live for. So many people loved you and you had so many dreams.
And what did he have? Only his pathetic love for a girl who didn't deserve all this. You should never have a reason to cry, and he gave you plenty of them.
Tears began to freely flow down his cheeks now. What had he done?
Nico wasn't fully aware of what he was saying to you before. Did he just reject your love?
Gods, he was an idiot. A real jackass.
Quiet sobs could be heard from the poor boy as he gently clutched at his heart.
While he was trying to get out of the cabin, he didn't realize that your bracelet was sitting on his porch. Completely oblivious, Nico accidentally kicked it away into the grass.
But did you know it was an accident? Heck no.
You were watching from afar, hoping for Nico to notice the little present that you had prepared for him.
Your heart shattered when Nico showed indifference to the bracelet, kicking it away as if it was nothing.
"That's it," you breathed, tears pricking your eyes as you looked at Nico with a gaze full of betrayal, "We're over."
Everything that you believed in came to an end.
You ran away. Away from all this pain and misery. You didn't want to stay at a place that constantly reminded you of the love that pained you.
Not far from Camp Half-Blood, you found a place to stay in a dark and empty alley. Little did you know, a monster was lurking behind the shadows.
You saw it move from the corner of your vision. Too heartbroken and dazed, you allowed it to capture you, taking you to who-knows-where. (A/N - Tartarus, maybe?)
And Nico? Oh, you'll see him again.
He walked into the realm of the Underworld, not sparing another second of hesitation to rethink his decision.
Nico stood in front of the entrance to Tartarus, already able to feel the strong pull towards it.
He jumped.
A/N - Aw, young love.
Should I write what happens next? Sort of like an epilogue?
If I did, it's going to only be about 500 words. So I hope you guys don't mind.
Anyways, thanks for 30 followers! I kinda forgot that Wattpad has those things.
802 words
See you next week! Lots of love,
