He was seated across you for the past two hours. The both of you quietly doing what you're supposed to do. You watched him carefully in the corner of your eye. You and Taehyung are partners in your History presentation. That's how you ended up sitting across each other in the farthest corner of the library.

You heard his phone vibrate loudly against the surface of the table, you look up at him. Taehyung quickly snatched his phone and hid it under the table, away from your sight.

Taehyung has been staring secretly at you for the last five minutes, thinking that you didn't know. Finally you caught him and you look straight in his eyes, raising your eyebrows.

"What?" You whispered across. He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders before going back to the aged pages of the book he was pretending to read.

You knew that he was itching to get out of his seat. You knew that it was his girlfriend texting him every minute. You knew that after this, he would be with her, holding her hand and he'd give her a kiss when they say goodbye to each other. You knew that every night it was her who keeps him up on the phone, talking about anything. You pretended you didn't care but in truth, you still cared and it hurts you to know everything about Taehyung.

"Shh. She's coming." Taehyung pressed his finger on her lips. She rolled her eyes at you and sat beside Taehyung, sticking on him like there's no tomorrow.

"Let's just go, Taehyung. You promised me we'll go watch a movie today." She whined loudly. You sent a look at them and she quieted down for awhile.

"30 minutes more." Taehyung whispered in her ear.

Really? Are they actually flirting inside a library? Yes, you're pretending not to care but you couldn't pretend not to hear, you still had ears after all.

"Let's just go." She stood up and pulled on Taehyung's arm, acting like a spoiled barbie doll. She pouted and that was it for Taehyung.

"Y/n, I really need to go. Sorry. I'll finish my part when I get home." He told you but you kept your head buried in one of the books you borrowed. "so, can I go now?"

Seeing Taehyung and his girlfriend made you feel so shitty, like it was you who was butting in on them. Taehyung used to prioritize you before anything but now he was leaving you. Always, you were one step behind him. Always the one watching from the sidelines.

"Who cares about her permission? Come on. We'll miss the movie!" Her high pitched voice irritated you the most. You slammed the book close on the table and made your leave first. "What's up with her? She didn't need to be so bitter about us, right Taehyung? What a loser."

You wish you didn't have ears so you wouldn't hear Taehyung agree with her, laughing along with her jokes about you. Maybe she was right, maybe I am a loser. A stuck up virgin who can't get over her ex boyfriend.

You felt loneliness hit you. You needed to be with someone, anyone, just so you wouldn't be alone. Why can't you be happy without him? You hated the lingering feelings you have for him. Why does it have to be like this?

You opened your laptop when you got home, typing in lightning speed, the name of the dating website your classmate suggested to you. Two minutes after logging in, a chatbox popped up;

"Hi"

You typed back immediately, "Hello. :)"

"So how are you?"

"Let's skip this part. It's kind of annoying how every conversation starts with how are you." You suggested. "I'm y/n. You?"

He was quick to reply, "You sure you're y/n? Cause I think you're pretty."
