You got into an accident on your way to school. The impact wasn't that strong but you had a few scratches and a terribly sprained ankle. The doctor told you that a full recovery would take you almost a month and that would mean you can't go to school. This was a huge problem since your exams are just around the corner. You have to attend your classes or you'll be dropped and would have to repeat a whole semester.
"You'll have to come back here next week." The nurse said as she finished up wrapping the cast around your ankle. "And don't walk around too much for the time being."
You nodded at her instructions and wondered how you're going to get home. You figured that the guy who hit you probably left already after paying the hospital bill but you were surprised to see him outside, waiting for you.
"Are you okay now? I'm so sorry. I was in a hurry so I didn't see you crossing the road. " He apologized a few more times.
"It's okay." You answered and sighed, brushing your hair behind your ears as you tried to walk with crutches for the first time.
His guilt was eating him up inside so he offered to help you, "Let me take you home."
"No, it's fine. I can get home by myself." You replied, feeling so pissed because he just won't leave you alone. "I don't want your damn help."
"I understand that you're angry at me because it was my fault you got hurt." He added as he blocked your way. You wanted to push him out of the way but you were in no condition to do that so you had no choice but to listen to him, "Please just let me do this. I'm not leaving until you let me help you."

A week passed by and you were doing pretty well with Hoseok's help. He offered to take care of you; giving you rides to school and back home, doing your groceries for you, and taking you where you want to go until you can walk again. In a week's time, you got to know him better. He was naturally cheerful but a very lousy comedian.
"I just thought of a joke." He turned to you as you both waited for the traffic light to turn green.
"No. Please. No more jokes." You shook your head and laughed, "I seriously can't listen to another joke."
"This would be the last, I promise. Please?" He pouted, he was a guy full of aegyo and you found him weirdly cute.
"Oh look, it's green!" You pointed ahead, glad that you were saved by the traffic light.
"Fine, I'll tell it to you tomorrow." He said, faking a mad expression but you just laughed at his silliness.
"You're not really mad." You chuckled, "That look doesn't suit you. Come on, stop making that face."
"You're right. I look really ugly when I'm serious." Hoseok laughed with you. He was probably the first guy who you felt so comfortable with.
You reached your apartment and Hoseok turned the engine of his car off. He got out first so he could help you to your front door, "Anything else I could help you with?"
"No, everything's good. I can handle it from here. Thanks." You said, taking your things from him before entering your apartment.
"Wait." Hoseok held the door knob when you were about to close the door behind you, "Give me a call if you need anything, like if you wanna go out for a midnight snack or whatever, okay?"
"Alright, but I'm pretty sure I won't be craving for food in the middle of the night." You smiled at him as he finally loosened his grip at your doorknob, "Goodbye Hoseok."
