Taehyung ~ Numb

It was Sunday, you didn't have work which meant today is pamper yourself day. You opened your closet and carelessly put together an outfit; a dainty, white summer dress and a simple cardigan. You headed out of your apartment to get some breakfast at your favorite pancake place because you were feeling too lazy to even touch the pans at home.

The pancake place was just two blocks away from your apartment. When you arrived there, the place was pretty much empty except for a sweet, old couple and two boys sitting by the corner. You haven't seen them around before, maybe they're just passing by.

As soon as you took your seat at the vacant cubicle by the window, a girl your age came to your table looking bright and as chipper as ever, a notepad and a pen at hand.

"Goodmorning Kristine!!"

"Morning Jen!" You greeted her with a smile, "I'll have the usual today."

"Okay." She smiled back, "Want some coffee?"

You shook your head, "I'm holding back on my coffee today but an orange juice would be nice."

"Okie dokie." She chirped, writing everything down on her notepad before walking back to the kitchen.

"Hi." The guy who was sitting with his friend by the corner, invited himself over to your table.

"Hi." You said, mimicking his smile.

You thought he looked innocent so you decided to talk with him for a bit. It wouldn't hurt to get friendly with a stranger, right? It's not like you'll see each other again anyway.

"What time do you have to get back to heaven?" He asked, propping his chin on his hands.

"Sorry?" You chuckled slightly. It was an absurd question.

"You work as an angel in heaven right?" He brought his game strong alright. "What time do you get off? Cause I'd like to ask you to brunch some other time."

"Brunch?" You could only smile at the ridiculousness of the whole situation.

"Yeah, brunch date? Not too casual, not too formal." He grinned, his square smile looked too cute. "I'm Taehyung and I'm guessing your name isn't Angel."

You both laughed. "Not exactly." You replied, "I'm Kristine."

That was how you met Kim Taehyung and fell in love with all of him. He always catches you off guard with his totally cute smile and make you laugh with his cheesy pick up lines but that was three years ago before he cheated on you.

You used to live with him and your half sister in one apartment. Arrangements were made, you and Taehyung got the bigger room while your half sister got the other room. For two years it has been like that. You had a happy, quiet life with two of the people you love. Your parents passed away when you were little and you were introduced to your half sister when you were 13.

Ever since then, you looked after her and when you graduated and had a job, you took full responsibility of her. You loved her like she was your full sister. Never have you hated her nor thought of her as your mother's mistake. She grew up with you and you know she also loves you very much.

"Kristine~" Taehyung latched himself on you while you were making dinner in the kitchen.

"Tae I'm cooking!" You giggled when he placed light kisses on your ear.
