You watched as he walked towards you, dodging his way out of the crowded hallway. He was always smiling as he called your name. He's always so bright and nice to people that's why he gets misunderstood most of the time by people like you.

"Mm." You nodded at the person on the other end of the phone, Jimin's ex girlfriend and your best friend. "Yeah. I'll tell her you said hi.. okay.. Take care too.. Mhm. Bye."

Jimin stopped in front of you, smiling as he leaned his shoulder by your locker, "Goodmorning. Who was that?" You had a look on your face that made him raise an eyebrow, "What? Was that the stalker you were talking about?"

You shook your head gently, "It was Jisoo."

"Oh." Jimin's smile disappeared.

You know he still liked her. The relationship ended when your bestfriend moved away but you feel like Jimin was still having a hard time.

"How is she?" He asked as you get your books.

"She's fine. She's still trying to adjust but she said everything's okay." You told him, being careful not to trigger any memories.

"That's good to hear." Jimin said and then forced a smile as he put his arm around you and squeezed you to his side, "What's with your face? You look like you're going to pass out. Ah, you skipped breakfast again. That's not healthy!"

You felt bad that he had to hide his real feelings behind his jokes but most of all you felt bad for liking him so much. It's betrayal; to yourself and to your best friend. You've been keeping everything in your chest since the beginning. The original plan was to confess to him but it ended up with him liking your best friend more. Jisoo didn't know so you couldn't blame her too.

Love just work like that; some are worth letting the world know and some are just meant to be kept. Like yours.

"I don't get it. How- aahh. I quit!" Jimin messed up his hair and rubbed the back of his stiff neck.

You looked over at his notes and realized he was taking about the maths homework. "You need to simplify this first before you answer the second problem."

He looked at you as if you were talking in alien language but he kept listening to you as you solved the first problem. Jimin hummed occasionally, he twirled his pencil between his fingers in a way you just can't do.

"Ahh. Now I get it. Thanks!" Jimin sent you a grin and you laughed back at him. "What? Why're you laughing?"

"Because it's basic." You replied, standing up to return the books you've finished reading to their respective shelves. "Be quiet and finish tour homework, Mr. class president."

"Now you're just plain insulting me." Jimin frowned at you.

He's so freaking cute. You had to look away and turn your back because your heart began to race in your chest.

"That was close." You mumbled, clutching the books to your chest.

"What's close?"

You jumped and found Jimin on the other side of the bookshelf, peeking at you between the books. "Stop stalking me in the library." You replied quickly, cursing your careless mouth.

"First, you insulted me. Now you're calling me a stalker." Jimin faked a hurt expression and you almost smiled, "You're so mean, Irene. Aren't we friends? How can you treat me like this?"
