Dark.

The world you live in now turned cold and dark. You're shivering, drowning in icy waters. Will someone make it in time to save you?

You opened your eyes. You thought you heard voices but nobody was there. No one came to save you. Deeper and deeper you sank, into another world. A world of made up lies where everything was the way it was before one year ago. A world where you weren't alone and dejected. A world that doesn't exist.

In your grasp was an old photograph, everyone wore warm smiles. They seem to stare at you. Your gaze came upon your smiling self. What have become of you now, you asked yourself. You wished they'd come back home. You wanted to see them again, to share your worries and your fears with them, to tell them that you missed them.

Closed fist, the photograph was crumpled in your tightly closed hands. The past was catching up with you, dragging you down to the immeasurable depths of your conscience. You want escape from this nightmare but there was nowhere to go for you.

~

You're standing in the middle of an empty, deserted road.

You hear someone's voice from afar. This time, it's someone you know. He's calling out to you. You spun around only to find out that you're still by yourself. You wonder why that voice is so familiar.

Y/N.

It's only in your head. It can't be real. He can't be real. You began to deny the voices in your own head, they're speaking to you. This isn't happening. They're gone. You saw it happen right in front of you. Every piece of that memory coming back to you all at once.

Why Y/N?

You turn to your heels, to the direction of your brother's voice. He was standing five meters away. His body was distorted in a grotesque way as he stared at you. Your hands were suddenly covered in blood, just like how it was one year ago as you hold on to your brother's mangled body in your arms.

It's your fault that I'm dead. You're the one to blame.. Everything is your fault.

"No." You took a step back. He was just standing there but he seemed to be getting closer and closer to you. The blood on your hands weren't coming off. You wiped your hands on your shirt countless times but it was still there. The evidence of that tragic accident.

Don't lie to yourself, Y/N. You know I'm speaking the truth.

"Leave me alone!" You took a couple more steps behind you until your back came against a wall.

You're back in the dark room, only a single ray of light shone through the broken window. The voices kept coming at you, convicting you of the crime you didn't commit. You brought your hands up to your ears as you collapse on the floor. They were surrounding you, pointing fingers at you, blaming you, "I didn't kill my brother.. I didn't kill anyone.. That's not true! STOP!"

~

The sunlight hit your skin, gradually taking you out of the darkness and into the warmth. You were lying on a make shift bed in the middle of nowhere. The gentle breeze caressed your face, the vast blue sky was above you, looking at it made you believe that there's still hope left.

This place was your little hangout place where you'd play games and just goof around with each other but that was before it happened. Those days are buried in the past along with your innocence.

"Y/N."

Your eyes came upon seven figures looking down at you. "Is this real?"

"What do you mean is this real? Of course we're real!" Namjoon laughed at your reaction and soon the rest of the guys were laughing too. He knelt down beside you, "What are you doing here anyway? Were you waiting for us?"

You nodded, taken aback. This is just a dream, right? You bit your lip, attempting to stop the tears when Namjoon pulled you close. He placed your head against his chest, "It's been a tough year for you, huh, kiddo." He patted your back.

You pulled away and looked at their smiling faces: Jin, Taehyung, Jimin, Yoongi, Hoseok and Jungkook. They were all in front of you, breathing and within your reach. Taehyung offered his hand out to you and you took it. He stood you up and embraced you. The rest of the guys followed after him, forming a group hug. You feel like you belong again.

"Crybaby." J-hope tousled your hair and a smile crept up from your face as you wipe the tears dry from your cheeks. "It's okay. You can smile as long as we're together."

~

A fire was lit and it blazed throughout the evening. You were gathered around it, cozy with each other's company. You notice Suga slowly closing his eyes and you smiled at how adorable he is with Jungkook on his lap. Jimin was playing with Rapmon while Hoseok was eating all the pretzels by himself.

"Yah leave some for us!" Taehyung snatched a piece from Hoseok when he noticed the bag of pretzels was almost half empty.

"Hey guys." Jin spoke, looking at the photograph on his hand before showing it to the others. "Should we go here?"

It was the ocean. A beautiful blue ocean. Everybody agreed on it, including you. You've always wanted to go to the ocean with everyone. Will it finally come true?

You were awoken by the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. Alone in the car, you stepped down and took a deep breath of fresh air.

"Y/N!" You turn to your left and found Jimin waving at you from a distance, "What are you doing still standing there? Come on!"

Jungkook grabbed your hand, "I challenge you to a race." He smirked. He knew you won't decline a challenge from him.

Jungkook was a few steps ahead of you. The guys cheered for you over at the finish line. You reach your hand out. The wind felt amazing against your skin. You feel like you're flying. So this is what it feels like to be free. You're not running from your past anymore. You're not running from anything but towards tomorrow.

"I won. So what will it be for the loser?" Jungkook syat beside your sprawled self on the white sand. Even catching your breath feels wonderful.

You smiled and watched the clouds at the sky, "I wish I could fly up there."

"Then let's fly! Come with me." Taehyung took your hand with a smile plastered on his face. You knew he thought up of a weird idea again. He always does.

You looked up at the towering scaffolding in front of you and felt the weight of your words from a second ago, "We're climbing that?"

"Yeah." Taehyung nodded, "Why? You scared? The Y/N I know would always be ready to climb that at any day." He taunted, sending you a smile.

He let you climb up before him. One step at a time, you raise yourself higher up the ground. The view from the top was breathtakingly beautiful. The sun was still above your head but it looked so much closer. The orange sky was tinted purple. You looked down and saw the guys watching from below.

"Hey idiots!" Namjoon shouted, "How's the air up there?"

"Jump! Jump! Jump!" The others cheered.

"You ready?" Taehyung asked.

You took a deep breath and smiled, holding his hand, "Ready when you are."

"On my count.." Taehyung gave your hand a light squeeze, "1,2.."

The moment your feet left the landing, gravity immediately kicked in. It dragged the both of you down. You fell into the water within seconds then all the sound was muffled by the water. It took you a second before you could open your eyes again. The coldness registering itself on your body. It was very familiar, a feeling you know all too well after trying to end your life a handful of times before. You failed every time because you were still afraid. Afraid of what was waiting for you, of what you might find when you get there or if you'd even get there.

Taehyung was nowhere to be found. The water was calm as it carried you inside of it. You resurfaced over the water and found that they were all gone. All that's left was a photograph of yourself, smiling alone, with a note at the back:

You need to survive.
