"Sweetie, are you still waiting for your parent?" You sat beside the only student of yours that was left behind in the classroom.

She nodded her head, holding the phone that hung around her neck, "He says he's going to get me."

"Okay. Then I'll wait with you." You said with a smile and then you both sat on the front of the playground just outside the school.

A car stopped in front of you and she pulled her hand away from yours to run to the person coming out of the car. You stood up to see who it was. He must be a busy person, you thought.

"I'm so sorry that you had to wait up but thank you for staying with Lia." He said after he placed the child safely in the car. "Y/N?"

"I-I didn't know that you worked here.." Jimin had the same surprised expression on your face. He smiled when he realized something, "So you really became a preschool teacher? I always knew you'd be one, knowing how hard you try when you want something."

"Uh, yeah, it just happened that way." You trailed off, preparing to go home myself. "Lia is such a good kid so as her Dad, you have nothing to worry about."

"Oh, you think I'm- No, I'm her uncle." Jimin chuckled at your misinterpretation, "I'm just picking her up for my sister because she has some things to finish at work."

"Oh." You must've had a funny expression on your face because he began to laugh. You didn't know what else to say so you cleared tour throat and told him goodbye.

"Let me give you a ride." Jimin offered, opening the car door for you. "I insist."

You looked at his face, losing the strength to look away and refuse when he was smiling at you the exact same way he did when he broke you heart a few years ago. You should've said no but it's too difficult. You still liked him even after breaking your heart and acting as if nothing has happened but you couldn't put all the blame on him. He didn't know because you never told him. It was all you. You were angry at yourself back then for being such a loser, for not talking to him.

"Lia fell asleep." Jimin smiled as he broke the silence, taking a glance at you then back at the road. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah." Was your short answer.

"Are you still not talking to me?" Jimin asked and it made you tense. "I texted you that night of our graduation. You replied but after a few messages, you never did reply back."

"I'm sorry." You said, looking out the window. "I don't remember anymore."

From the reflection on the car's window, you saw his cold, sad smile, "I'm just going to drop my niece at her mom's workplace then maybe we can have a drink or something?"

"I can't. I still have classes tomorrow." You replied briefly. You refused to be pulled into him again, the way you foolishly did before.

"Come on, Y/N. We haven't talked to each other for six years." Jimin persuaded you. "I missed talking to you."
