"Namjoon-ah, do you want to date?"
You have been with Namjoon since you started highschool. He was quiet and reserved most of the time. He's not good in anything but studying and playing around with his keyboard, arranging music and lyrics. He's never liked playing any kind of sport except those in video games. He was never the cool kid in school but you never complained.
You held hands and kissed but it's nothing like you expected it to be, not like the ones you read on romance novels nor the ones you watch in chick flick movies. It was dull yet you continued the relationship for the sake of having a boyfriend you can brag around to your new friends.
You get along pretty well with Namjoon despite your completely opposite traits. Nowadays, it's hard to find a guy like Namjoon. He wasn't totally submissive neither was he ever dominant. He's just okay.
It started out as a game between you and Namjoon. The relationship you both agreed to was never meant to be a serious one. Throughout highschool until the two of you became university students, the relationship was always on and off.
"Namjoon, do you want to break up?" You asked him one time when you were in the library. "I don't think we'll work out. I mean, we're going to different universities and we're both busy so.. Is it fine with you?"
"Yeah." Namjoon answered right away. Breaking up wasn't a big deal, you do it almost every week. "If that's what you really want."
"That fast, huh." You squinted your eyes at him, giving him the look of suspicion, "Are you cheating on me? Look me in the eye and tell me that you're not seeing anyone else."
Namjoon followed your instructions, closing the book he was trying to memorize and looked right into your eyes, "I'm not seeing anyone but you, Y/N. Since when did I-"
"Shh." You shushed him with your finger over his lips. He ignored you and then returned to his book, "You are so mean, Namjoon. You never do anything fun. I want you to make my heart flutter. My other friends have really sweet boyfriends."
"Make your heart flutter? Do you still think you're in highschool?" Namjoon smiled when you pouted.
He loved it when you act cute around him. He liked you even though you're a bit crazy, asking to break up and get back together again after a few days.
"Hey. Don't make fun of me!" You nagged at him cutely. "I said don't laugh, Namjoon. I'm serio-"
Namjoon made you forget what you were going to say next when he leaned close and delivered a chaste kiss on your forehead, "Did that make your heart flutter?"
You smiled and nodded, before taking his hand in yours. "Do you want to go on a trip together?"
"A trip? In the middle of the semester?" Namjoon sent you a look. "Y/N, you should study instead of playing around."
You frowned at him, "You know you're probably the only guy who'd refuse such an offer from someone as pretty as me."
He laughed lightly, making your butterflies flutter around in your stomach. You never thought you'd fall for someone like Namjoon yet here you are, wanting to hold him and kiss him every chance you get.
"Okay." Namjoon held your hand sweetly, "Let's go on a trip."
