anyone here watching it?
i'm literally dying, waiting for the next episode•••
I'm Kim Taehyung, twenty three years old, a third year Fashion Design student.
I love looking at art, including myself, since I am a living art myself. Everyone knows that. I also love seeing the beauty in everything yet whenever I look at my best friend, I just can't find anything admirable in her. It can't be her face, definitely not her hair and most likely not her body. No. In summary, her appearance is not likable. This also explains why, up until now, she's never been in a relationship while I've been into a lot. I can't even count them in my head.
Out of all the girls I dated, never have I liked anyone of them. I mean, there was the desire. I found them pretty and irresistible the first few dates but when they finally fall for me, it's as if I lost my appetite all of a sudden. It's not fun if girls fall for me easily. I want someone challenging, someone who'll make me lose sleep at the thought of seeing her again. Unfortunately, there's only one girl who makes me feel like that and she's not exactly the type of girl I had in mind. I like pretty girls but why does my heart keep pointing towards her.
On my way to the university, I passed by the convenience store and she was there. I headed towards her with a smile, raising my hand as I called her, "Y/N!"
But she didn't notice me because she was with a guy. I observed the two of them conversing and laughing with each other and thought, damn that girl is stupid. She's falling for some shallow guy again. I rolled my eyes at the scene and waited until the guys left before I came and approached her.
"Hey, Y/N." I placed my bag on the table she was sitting at to get her attention on me.
She looked up at me and said, "Oh, it's you."
"Who was that guy?" I asked without beating around the bush. I'm kind of impatient. "He looks suspicious."
Y/N began collecting her things and putting them neatly in her bag as she replied to me, "That guys is none of your business, Taehyung. Leave him alone."
"Um, no." I told her as we walked back to the university together, "I will not leave him alone because he's obviously trying to trick you into doing something for him. Girls like you are always the target for those kind of guys."
"Girls like you? You mean ugly?" She laughed at the phrase, "I heard that phrase too many times in my lifetime to the point it doesn't affect me anymore."
"I'm not saying it to bring you down. I'm your best friend." I tell her convincingly but she just smiles, pulling her varsity jacket closer when a strong breeze blew, "Besides, self awareness is good. That means you know yourself better."
"No, need to make me feel better, Taehyung." She said to me and I smiled at her. "I should just be happy that he talks to me. I don't care if he's just using me to get what he wants."
The smile faded from my face in an instant. I grabbed her wrist and made her stop walking, "See that's where the problem lies for me because only I can do that to you. I'm the only one who can call you ugly. I should be the only good looking guy talking to you."
"What are you? My personal bully?" She glanced at me with a huge smile plastered on her face.
"I'm serious." I kept a straight face but it didn't last because she has that something that I can't explain. Maybe because we've been friends since kindergarten, she kind of grew on me?
"What's with that smile? Are you making a joke out of me?" I watched the smile on her face become wider. Then she held on to the sleeve of my button down shirt, "Oh and what's this? We're back to the 7 year old version of Y/N? Though this time you're not as cute."
