I wish..
You were running away. Away from Hoseok, from the undeniable love you feel for him. You wished you could reverse time so you wouldn't make the mistake of crossing roads with him. You wished the sky was bigger for the two of you.
The sky was turning dark again, the first star appearing above the pitch black night sky. Soon the same sky was decorated by hundreds of stars, they were beautiful from afar. You were once up there, shining brightly in a spectrum of colors. You were once a shooting star, on your way to grant someone's wish, bravely flying across the marvelous night sky until someone, who was lucky enough to see you pass by, asked you for his one wish to come true but something went wrong. Perhaps it was something he said or something he wished that caused the glitch, that made you human.
You fell from the sky. It was impossible for a celestial body to become human. You were the first one to recreate the history of your kind and also the first to fall in love with a mortal. How is it possible? You didn't know but this pumping organ inside your chest would thump faster whenever Hoseok was with you, whenever he smiles at you, when he told you how he feels for you, but you were someone who was not like him. He shouldn't have called for you to come down from the ethereal heavens to grant his one wish.
He shouldn't have asked you to love him.
He knew that you were not capable of returning his feelings but he insisted. Hoseok's wish was keeping you bonded to him. You were afraid, scared of being alone in a world you're not familiar with. You were filled with uncertainty. You don't know what will happen to you if you loved Hoseok back. Was it worth the risk?
"This is not the time to be joking around." Hoseok told you, griping your wrist. He didn't want to let you go but he knew he can't hold you down, "You have nowhere else to go, Y/N. Leaving would take you nowhere, you know that. Just stay here, with me."
"No Hoseok." You countered as you pry his hands off of you, "I'm sorry. I really can't grant you your wish."
The sadness in his eyes was engraved in your human mind. You see him in your dreams. He was like a scene from a movie that's on a loop, forever haunting you.
You were able to get as far away but still you couldn't escape him. Hoseok gained fame. He was on the television, on the radio, on the magazines, even on the newspapers you buy from the sidewalk. Was Hoseok punishing you for leaving him?
Life on Earth was never meant for you. It was a struggle just to get through the day. For four years you've lived your life as a nobody. You didn't have a real identity nor a permanent name except for the name Hoseok gave you but no one calls you by that name anymore.
Everyday you're a different person in only one body. Every six months, you change your name and even your address, afraid that someone might catch up with your lie and discover what you really are. You were scared of curious people who would want to do experiments on you once they've discovered what you are. You were vulnerable and you hoped Hoseok would come and find you, only in his arms will you feel safe.
You wanted to come home to him but you didn't know how. What if he doesn't remember you or worst, what if he doesn't even want to concern himself with you anymore. What will you do then?
You were scanning through the TV channels, obviously bored by yourself, when you accidentally switched to an interview of a popular boy band. With eyes wide, your boredom quickly dissolved when you saw Hoseok sitting there in front of the camera. You grabbed the remote, your thumb hovering over the red little button that would turn the TV off, but you stopped in mid air when Hoseok spoke.
"I'm not going to mention her name but I know she's out there somewhere." He smiled, laughing along with the other guys at the corny phrase he just said.
