(Koko's POV)
"Is it really true that you single handily defeated General Shen?!" Nya enthusiastically asked me as the five of us continued our march towards Garmadon's camp, passing several patrolling Stone Warriors and having no issues so far. "General Shen was a tough enemy for sure, that hammer of his certainly packed a punch, but yes, I was able to defeat that snake by myself" I confirmed to the Water Ninja, finding it both flattering and impressive that the young Ninja knew of my battle against the snake general. "Yes! I knew it!" Nya jumped and fisted the air cheerfully, her celebration making me slightly chuckle "When we get back you totally owe me a round of Puffy Potstickers bro!" She nudged her somewhat annoyed brother
"Yeah yeah, I remember the bet" Kai grumbled, crossing his arms with a roll of his eyes "And is it true that you also fought an army of skeletons that tried taking over Ninjago!?" Nya asked me what was probably her fiftieth question, I didn't mind however, her fangirling was both enduring and adorable. "It is indeed, Garmadon and I were one hell of a team against those numbskulls" I fondly remembered battling beside my husband, before that damn venom took him away from me
As the Ninja led me through the dense forest, I was feeling cautiously optimistic about my idea, I have no doubts that the Ninja will be able to blend in with the Stone Army and get me close enough to Garmadon so I can snag the Helmet of Shadows, but I'm slightly worried I won't be able to do what I need to. It's been sometime since my husband and I saw each other face to face, even if he's not exactly the same man I fell in love with all those years ago, I can't help but think I might find it a challenge to both face him again and snag that helmet from him
I know that I can't let my emotions get the best of me on this mission, what matters most is getting that helmet and nothing else. I decided to stash these feelings away for the time being as the tall wooden walls of Garmadon's camp began coming into sight, making sure I was fully in character. "Alright guys, let's focus up" Cole whispered to the rest of the Ninja, the four of them trying to best match the body language of the Stone Warriors as we approached the large entrance gate of the settlement
I remained silent and took on a defeated look as the two Stone Warriors positioned in front of the camp looked at us from head to toe, the Ninja kept themselves as stiff as they could. It thankfully didn't take long for the warriors to stop surveying us before one of them shouted up at another soldier at the top of the walls in an unintelligible language, I heard a small sigh of relief come from Kai as the gate ahead of us slowly opened up, letting us successfully infiltrate Garmadon's camp
The wooden gate loudly closed behind us as we stepped into the grounds of the Stone Warrior infested area, many of the warriors looked our way but none of them raised their weapons or looked at us with suspicion, so far so good. The disguised Ninja led the way through the giant camp, doing a good job of blending in with the rest of the Stone Army. "Now if I were Garmadon where would I be....." Nya quietly wondered as she and the other Ninja looked around for my husband, hopefully he was actually here and not off somewhere else on the island, my entire plan hinges on him actually being here so I can steal the helmet
We didn't get too far into the industrial camp before we caught the attention of the tall and intimidating General Kozu, the four armed warrior slowly marched his way towards the five of us. "Uh oh, big, tall and ugly is coming our way" Kai whispered from beneath his helmet, stiffening his posture as the Stone Warrior general stood in front of us. General Kozu stared down at the undercover Ninja and I, his green eyes darting between us "Unt tin Klata vu!" The tall warrior barked at the Ninja, the teens and myself not at all understanding the Stone Warrior
"This guy's speaking gibberish" Cole murmured, General Kozu continued to stare at us with angered eyes "I believe he is speaking an ancient language spoken by the Stone Warriors, however I am unable to translate such a dialect" Zane muttered to the Earth Ninja before the four armed general loudly yelled at the five of us, clearly growing frustrated by not getting an answer to whatever it was he said
