The Final Countdown

(Kai's POV)

Cole didn't dare lift his foot off the gas pedal of the Earth Driller as we tore through the ground, hoping to make a clean escape from Garmadon's camp with the Helmet of Shadows. I thought we were a real goner there when that large mech showed up, I can't believe I'm saying this but thank the First Spinjitzu Master for Jay! I tightly held onto the seat in front of me while watching the drill up front effortlessly clear a path for us, smashing rock after rock after rock. "Anyone know where this Celestial Clock actually is?" The Earth Ninja shouted back to us, firmly steering our vehicle to the left 

"M-Master Wu spotted it on one of the m-mountains while I w-was working on the driller" Jay spoke up from his torn seat "I marked the location o-o-on this map" He leaned forward before pressing a blue button beside Cole's steering wheel, switching on a small screen to the Earth Ninja's right that looked to show a small and simple electronic map of the Dark Island, a red pin marked on the digital landmass to represent the clock we needed to reach

With an actual destination labelled on his little screen, Cole quickly changed the direction of the Earth Driller to head straight for the Celestial Clock, looking at the small map it didn't seem that far away, and with the Stone Army miles behind us this should be an easy trip. I closed my eyes and kicked my feet up onto Nya's chair in front of me, intent on enjoying our ride to the clock, unfortunately I couldn't listen to my music so I guess the sounds of rocks bashing against our windshield will have to do 

Not even a second into my much earned relaxation and my head suddenly goes crashing forward into the back of my sister's seat, giving me one hell of a headache. I was ready to start yelling all kinds of language at our driver but luckily for him I was cut off by something ramming itself into the back of our vehicle, we all turned to look behind us and were not happy to see that the Stone Army had followed us into our tunnel with their own digging machines. General Kozu looked to be piloting the large treaded vehicle slamming itself into us, with plenty more vehicles behind him 

"This is most certainly not an ideal situation" Zane robotically pointed out, not at all sounding worried about the legion of warriors currently trying to destroy our only hope of escape. "Uhh Jay? Did you get the chance to add any fancy weapons to this thing?" Cole asked the Blue Ninja, trying his best to focus on getting to the Celestial Clock despite the constant assaults from the Stone Warriors "Ummm n-no, you guys called me b-before I got the c-c-chance, sorry" Jay told our driver with a slightly trembling voice

Once again Kozu's large metal monstrosity crashed into us, severely damaging the back of the Earth Driller as he laughed wickedly. "So what the hell are we supposed to do against these guys?!" I yelled out, full of frustration and anger as I kept being knocked forward by that damn four armed statue "Without any weapons on this thing, I don't think we have many options other than to keep going and hope our vehicle can withstand their attacks" Koko shouted over the sounds of the many drilling machines ripping apart the earth. I so want to pry open the glass above us and send a nice hot fiery blast at those annoying warriors, but I also don't want to end up getting suffocated by large rocks so I made the totally strategic and not cowardly decision to just sit in my chair.....

"Ummm I think I've g-g-got an idea..." Jay timidly spoke, taking out the golden handle of his Elemental Blade "M-Maybe I can supercharge t-the Earth Driller with my p-powers, hopefully giving us more speed to e-escape the Stone Warriors b-behind us" The Blue Ninja told us his idea, I know absolutely nothing about the techno mumbo jumbo that he, my sis and Zane know all about but for all our sakes I hope that can work. "Worst case scenario the engine gets fried due to too high of a voltage, but I think that's a risk worth taking, go for it Jay!" Nya encouraged the freckled teen to go through with his plan
