Rise of the Spinjitzu Master

The First Spinjitzu Master's large Golden Mech effortlessly flew high above the Endless Sea, looking like a bright beam of golden light as it tore through the air, truly nothing could stop it as the elegant mech headed for the island of Ninjago. In no time at all, Lloyd and the rest of the Ninja had reached their home, now completely unrecognisable as the entire island was shrouded in dark clouds, purple lightning flashing within them. "Uhhhh, are we sure this is even Ninjago?" Cole worriedly asked as the Green Ninja began to steer the Golden Mech towards the ominous clouds 

Slowly and carefully, Lloyd started to lower the Golden Mech into the blanket of clouds shrouding Ninjago in darkness, keeping an eye out for any projectiles of Dark Matter or whatever else the Overlord could throw at them. Everyone was in complete disbelief as they entered the atmosphere of their once great city and hovered above it all, what would normally be a beautiful and breathtaking sight of a colourful and bustling metropolis, was now a nightmarish and eerie sight 

Ninjago City was completely devoid of any signs of life, cars abandoned across the many roads and market stalls toppled over as it didn't seem there was a single person out walking the usually busy streets. The once vibrant and bright neon lights that decorated many parts of the city, no longer lit up the sprawling buildings, with seemingly everything down below being completely devoid of its colour, nothing but grey as the Ninja's eyes could see. Even the very water that the city had been built atop looked nothing like it had before, the canals used to be filled with bright blue sparkling water, but the water now flowing all throughout the city was a dark purple colour that unsettled the Ninja

"Woah, what the hell is that thing?" Kai pointed into the distance, looking through the smog covering the city to catch a glimpse of what seemed to be a massive skyscraper towering over the rest of the city's tall buildings, even Ninjago Tower. The black structure spotted by the Red Ninja certainly wasn't part of the city skyline the last time the Ninja were there, getting a closer look at the colossal building, the Ninja could see that it was completely surrounded by large black walls and hordes upon hordes of Stone Warriors. "This must be the Overlord's dark fortress" Koko took in the full sight of the Overlord's large tower, observing a slight purple glow coming from the very top of the creepy structure 

"Let us ground my father's mech before we are spotted, we mustn't let them know we are here before we have a plan of attack" Master Wu told his students, his nephew gave the old man an affirmative nod before descending the Golden Mech down to the streets of the once beautiful city. As soon as the golden machine's feet landed onto the ground, the Ninja jumped off of the Green Ninja's mech and Lloyd gently lowered the hand his mother and uncle were being carried in, carefully letting them out of his tight grasp 

The Ninja slowly and cautiously looked around the area they had landed in, taking in the creepy sight of their city turned into nothing but shades of grey and purple as they tried to find any signs of life, not even being able to see an annoying reporter or a mob of rabid fans. There was also no sign of the Jade or Amber Ninja, much to Kai and Lloyd's dismay, their communicators were completely fried so there was no chance of getting into contact with the two other Ninja even if they were somewhere in the city 

"Never thought the city would ever give me the creeps" Nya remarked, a chill traveled down her spine as she wandered around the deserted street, even though the massive city looked completely empty, she still couldn't shake the feeling she was being watched. "Then I suggest that we head for the warehouse, giving us a secure space to plan our attack on the Overlord" Zane proposed to the group, hoping that their secret hideout would prove to be a safe location in the corrupted city. "Yeah, maybe we'll even find Sky and Harumi hiding out there" Kai was optimistic that his girlfriend was keeping herself safe
