(Lloyd's POV)

Today has certainly been a very eventful day, first we find the Temple of Light, then we're chased down by the entire Stone Army and now I found out that my mom has been a legendary warrior this entire time?! How did I just never know this!? Guess she was pretty good at keeping it secret, she never once talked about Lady Iron Dragon and it's not like she was leaving any of her weapons around the apartment, I gotta hand it to my mom, she's pretty damn good at keeping a secret identity

Now I know why that suitcase of hers was so loud and heavy, all that metal armour must have been a pain to fit inside her luggage. At least with her armour being made out of metal she's a lot more protected than us against all these Stone Warrior arrows, they just bounce right off of her but are doing a real number on our Ninja gi's, tearing hole after hole into them. First thing I'm doing when we get back to Ninjago is beg Master Wu for a new suit, I can't be saving the city with a suit full of holes now can I?

The adrenaline coursing through my veins was really being put to the test, it was the only thing giving my body the strength and will to keep on running from the Stone Warriors, their loud stomps sounding like they were slowly getting closer to the four of us. We pushed ourselves past a large set of bushes and were extremely relieved to see the shore of the Dark Island up ahead, the ruins of the Bounty and the other Ninja somewhat visible in the distance. I felt like I was waving my arms around like a madman trying to get the attention of the other Ninja as the four of us stepped onto the soft sand

I almost stumbled over myself several times as we raced across the sand, the other Ninja and Master Wu finally noticing us as we drew closer to the Bounty and whatever it was that Jay and Zane were tinkering on. "There you guys are! We were starting to ge- woah is that Lady Iron Dragon?" Cole looked shocked to see the alter ego of my mom beside us, it felt so incredibly good to finally stop running, leaning myself against the hull of our crashed ship as at long last I had a chance to catch my breath "Yeah yeah my childhood idol is here and she's actually Lloyd's mom we're kinda past that point" Nya quickly caught the rest of the group up to speed about the legendary warrior standing with us

"W-Wait what?" Jay's surprised voice could be heard from behind whatever kind of vehicle it was that he and Zane were working on, hopefully it's right about finished because we're gonna need something to get us to that Temple of Light before those Stone Warriors reach us. "Master Wu, you are the only one not surprised by this information" Zane directed his attention towards our teacher, my uncle not at all being fazed by my mother's warrior persona "Am I correct in assuming that you already knew of Mrs. Garmadon's secret identity?" The Nindroid questioned Master Wu. "Why of course, the two of us fought across several battlefields together" The old man confirmed with a slight smirk

"But that is not important" Master Wu's expression quickly became serious "Were you able to locate the Temple of Light?" My uncle asked us, before I could give him an answer Kai eagerly stepped forward "Yep! All thanks to my awesome Ninja skills!" The Fire Ninja proudly claimed the honour of finding the temple, conveniently leaving out the part where it took him a hundred tries. "According to the medallion, the temple is located somewhere atop one of the island's largest mountains" My mom explained, pointing toward one of the highest peaks in the distance

Looking at the location of the temple from the shore made me realise just how far away it was, and how insanely high up it seemed, ugh the power from this temple better be worth it, my body is already aching just thinking about making our way up to the ancient temple. "And we better hurry to that peak because we're not exactly alone" Nya reminded us of the Stone Warriors hot on our trail, the living statues bursting their way through the trees and heading right for us "You were caught?! Oh that is not good......" Master Wu shook his head, looking disappointed in the three of us "Uhh yeah, Nya and I's endearing sibling arguing may have gotten us spotted by the entire Stone Army" Kai sheepishly admitted to our teacher "It was totally all Nya's fault she started it!" He was quick to throw his sister under the bus
