Medallion of Light

(Zane's POV)

I was very thankful to Jay and Nya, the two of my fellow Ninja did a truly fantastic job of repairing my body after the substantial damage I sustained following our unfortunate crash onto the Dark Island. My body felt as if it were brand new as I assisted Koko and Master Wu in turning our crash site into a makeshift home base, the largely intact hull of the once majestic Destiny's Bounty serving as the main foundation of our new temporary hideout on this island 

It was not very spacious within the mostly empty hull of the Bounty, but it completed the job of being a place to hide from any Stone Warriors that could wander across our location, the wooden hull blending in with the rest of the discarded ships scattered across the shore. The interior of our new hideout certainly left a lot to be desired, gone were the comfy couches present in our warehouse and gone were the numerous video games, I do not believe that the other Ninja will find this new base ideal

The majority of the technology aboard the Destiny's Bounty had been completely destroyed in our accident, but miraculously a few pieces of technology were able to survive, although severely damaged and almost unusable. The main piece of technology that was able to withstand the accident was the main screen that used to be present in the bridge of the Bounty, the large screen was heavily cracked but Nya believed that it could still be useful in our stay on the Dark Island. Jay, Nya and I mounted the screen onto one of the walls, close by to a makeshift table made from recovered pieces of wood

"I'm r-r-really starting to m-miss the w-warehouse...." Jay sadly mumbled with a frown as his eyes took in the full sight of our current home, the only light coming from my bright blue eyes and the numerous holes in the hull that allowed the sunlight to shine through "It may not be the most luxurious hideout, but it shall keep us hidden from my brother and his indestructible army and that is all that matters" Master Wu spoke before heading outside, I and the others following closely behind him

"It's good to be back in the fresh air after being inside there for so long" Koko took a deep breath  of the fresh Dark Island air, I do not have the same fondness for air like the others but I am certain that Koko is correct about the air quality. "You said it Mrs. G" Nya agreed with Koko's statement regarding the air, the black haired Ninja wandered over to her and Jay's secret project  the two Ninja had been working on as I assisted in the set up of our new base

My curiosity was certainly piqued by whatever it was Jay and Nya were working on underneath the large sail they were using to cover what looked to be a sort of vehicle, I could tell from the suggestion of black wheels underneath the tan coloured sail. Before I could get the chance to approach the hard working Ninja and question them on whatever it was the two of them had been working on for the last couple of hours, everybody's attention was directed towards the palm trees surrounding us, the sound of movement coming from the area 

Without hesitation I readied my bow with an arrow, aiming it directly at where my system was telling me the sound was coming from as Nya grabbed her spear, Master Wu got into a battle stance, followed by Mrs. Garmadon while Jay found himself rather comfortable hiding behind his and Nya's latest work in progress

As soon as my scanners detected the shape of a body leaving the bushes I released my hold on my arrow and watched as it whizzed through the air with perfectly calculated velocity, a loud shout could soon be heard from the palm trees, telling us that my arrow had indeed made contact. The shout did not sound as if it had originated from a Stone Warrior and so I made the decision to lower my bow, the others behind me also lowering their guard

It was certainly a good thing that I did not continue to fire my arrows, as I would not have been shooting at members of the Stone Army, but instead members of our own team. "Ah! My coconut!" Cole yelped as he held onto a coconut in front of his chest, my arrow sticking out perfectly from the centre of the brown fruit. "My apologises for ruining your coconut Cole, I was under the impression I was firing at a Stone Warrior" I made sure to apologise to the Earth Ninja for attacking his food of choice, Cole simply shrugged his shoulders before ripping my arrow out of his coconut and splitting open the fruit, enjoying the inside of the brown coconut
