(Cole's POV)

It feels like it took me forever but I think I finally got all of the sand out of my ears, I could certainly hear Jay's panicked ramblings better, I'm really wishing I had packed my headphones and boombox for this trip right about now. My entire body felt sore as I stood up from the piece of the Bounty I was sitting on, my legs slightly wobbled as I walked across the sand, wanting to see how everybody else was doing after our rough arrival on the Dark Island

"I swear if I ever see another one of those Starteeth I'll be the last thing they ever see!" Kai angrily grumbled to himself, letting out his anger on the innocent nearby palm trees, slashing at them furiously with his silver katanas. With all of the Starteeth markings I can see on the back of his torn suit, I don't blame the hothead for being so angry at those annoying creatures, I wouldn't mind giving those chomping monsters a special look at the other end of my hammer

Trying not to join Kai in destroying the nature of the island, I strolled past him to see how his sister was doing, Nya being a lot more productive as she helped Zane with the several repairs the Nindroid needed after being heavily damaged during our crash, needing an entire arm to be reattached and other techno mumbo jumbo I couldn't even begin to understand. Even with a missing arm and whatever the Nindroid equivalent of a broken rib is, that large white smile of his still remained, good to see he's not letting this situation get to him

"Are you two sure you're both alright?" I heard Lloyd ask his uncle and mom as I walked past the blonde haired Ninja, his voice full of worry for his family members "Besides a few cuts, bruises and a headache we're both perfectly fine Lloyd, I've been through much worse" Koko told her son from her seated position on a wooden crate from the Bounty, no doubt full of Master Wu's beloved tea "It'll take a lot more than that to stop my old body" Our teacher chuckled atop his crate, pouring himself a cup of tea with his teapot that somehow survived the crash

Continuing my walk across the shore of the island that was almost entirely covered by the wreckage of the Bounty and many other ships, led me to the frantically searching Jay, the panicked Ninja rummaging through the countless pieces of the Bounty and other luggage we brought with us, throwing multiple pieces of wood to the side as it looked like he was searching for something in the several piles of debris

I watched from the side as his searching became more and more stressed, a stray piece of metal almost coming my way. Just as it looked like Jay was reaching his limit, the Blue Ninja's attention was seemingly perked by something underneath a heap of wood he was searching through. The freckled Ninja wasted no time in tearing apart the wood in his way to get whatever it was that he had been looking for, grabbing hold of it firmly and holding it up in the air, revealing a blue coloured teddy bear

"Oh thank t-the First S-S-Spinjitzu Master y-you're okay!" Jay held his beloved plush toy high in the air before embracing it tightly, a wide smile quickly spreading across his pale face. The cheerful smile didn't get to stay for very long, as once Jay noticed my presence he swiftly moved to hide Mister Cuddlywomp behind his back "Uhhh I-I-I mean thank the F-First Spinjitzu Master my n-n-neck pillow i-is okay!" He said with a small nervous chuckle as he reached for his nearby blue travel pillow

I just shook my head with a slight smirk before leaving the freckled teen to be alone with his stuffed animal, I hate to say it but I think he's really gonna need it on this island. Unfortunately my phone is totally busted thanks to our little accident so I can't tell exactly how long we've been on the island, looking at the sun I'm thinking maybe a couple of hours? Ugh but I don't know, I've never tried to tell the time by just looking at the sun, I've only ever used my phone, at this point I don't think I can even read a proper clock

Besides our crash, nothing terrible has happened to us yet, and nothing has tried to kill us either so I think we might be off to a good start, but then again we've all just woken up after arriving here and have barely set foot into the island itself so who knows what's waiting for us beyond those palm trees. Probably not the best thing to think about right now Cole, especially on an empty stomach......
