Dharshi stood silently, arms folded, eyes brimming. Abeer stepped closer.
> Abeer (softly): “I don’t care what they say. I just care about you. And whatever happened with Keerthi... it ended the moment I realized I was in love with you.”
Her breath hitched. She turned her back, wiping her eyes.
> Dharshi (choking up): “I hate even hearing my name with those rumors. I trust you... even when the world doesn’t.”
Abeer gently turned her around, cupping her face.
> Abeer: “So can we start again?”
She nodded. A teary smile.
> Dharshi: “We never really ended.”
They hugged—tightly, like nothing else mattered
_______________
Watching from a distance, Angad wrapped an arm around Keerthi, tugging her close.
> Angad (mocking): “So everyone’s reconciling, and we’re still sneaking around like spies.”
> Keerthi (laughing): “It’s kinda hot though, right?”
He leaned into her neck, voice low and teasing.
> Angad: “You know, with the way Peter or damon looks at you... I might have to tattoo property of Angad across your forehead.”
> Keerthi (laughing, playfully pushing him): “Possessive much?”
> Angad: “Only when it comes to the girl I love.”
______________
Caroline’s house was lit with fairy lights. Music bumped low, and the usual crowd gathered—Stefan, Elena, Damon, Abeer, Dharshi, Angad, and Keerthi.
Keerthi pulled Caroline and Dharshi aside.
> Keerthi (whispering): “Tonight, we expose Ruby and Chandni.”
> Dharshi: “How?”
> Caroline (smirking): “Easy. Let them overhear something fake and juicy... then wait for it to spread.”
> Keerthi: “By morning, everyone will know who the real snakes are.”
They exchanged determined looks. The plan was in motion.
______________
The party buzzed below, but Dharshi had slipped away quietly, needing air. Abeer followed, finding her under the stars.
> Abeer (softly): “Funny how even in a crowd, I only notice you.”
Dharshi turned, surprised but smiling. He stood beside her, close but not touching.
> Dharshi: “It’s been long, huh? Us… like this.”
> Abeer (gently): “Yeah. Too long. And I don’t want to lose it again.”
He reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. Her eyes searched his face — gentle, familiar, still hers.
> Dharshi (quietly): “I love you.”
> Abeer (whispering back): “Then hold me.”
He did. They stayed like that, no words, no doubts. Just warmth. Just them.
