In the past 14 years, several things have changed with Kringam. Along with the arrival of 13 children over the years, Mangammal and Jakkamal had passed away, leading the entire andhapuram in Umayal's care. Her elder daughter helped her in running the house. However, Umayal was still busy with everything and everyone. There was also Rana who had the habit of pushing everything away from Umayal the moment he entered the palace.

He was the reason she had to give birth to thirteen children. She had even complained to him from time to time about being pregnant all the time. But nothing mattered to him as long as he had her next to him.

He loved her with everything he had. He lost his family at a very young age which led to him feeling all alone in this vast world. Hence he had a huge desire for a big family and she understood his pain completely. That led them to end up having a huge family of 13 children.

As Rana and Umayal returned to the capital of Kringam, both Umayal and Rana were embroiled in the thoughts of their own. Umayal was thinking on how to protect her husband and children. Rana was thinking about how Rajendra would attack his region of the country.

After reaching his court, he asked his ministers for a quick meeting and asked them to ensure that the borders of their lands are protected. He heavily concentrated on the lands near to the ocean.
