'The light in her eyes was beyond description, yet it did not instill improper thoughts: it inspired a love tempered by awe, purifying the hearts it inflamed.'
Boomadevi's chamber:
Boomadevi: enna velai paarthirukkiraai Porchelvi?
Porchelvi: atthai, aval koorum vaarthaigalai unmai endru nambi thaangal ennai kelvigal ketpadhaa? aval oru sadhikaari.
Boomadevi: Porchelvi, aval saadhikaariyo illaiyo naan ariyen. Aanal aval anaivar munbum unnai pattri oru seidhi koorugiraal endraal adhai aval nangu arindhu irukka veandum. Illaiyel atthanai elidhil kooriyirukka maattal.
Nee idharku enna kaaranam koorinaalum ennaal idhai oru podhum oppukolla mudiyaadhu. enaku en annan magal mukkiyama en magan mukkiyama endraal, en pudhalvan dhaan enaku mukkiyam. Purindhu nadandhu kol.
Porchelvi: Purindhadhu atthai.
She answered the old lady with disdain in her heart. She was using that soldier to get information and she didn't commit any adultery after the marriage. However, the circumstances left her in the tight spot. Boomadevi, who was thinking for a moment, looked at Porchelvi again.
Boomadevi: yaaro avalidam Poovarasi ingu iruppadhai pattri kooriyirukkindranar. Nee dhaan adhu yaarendru kandu pidikka veandum.
Unnudaiya aranmanaiyil irundhu dhaan yaaro indha seidhiyai veliyittu irukka veandum. Nam pakkam irukkum ottranai kandupidi.
Porchelvi also thought about the same thing. She doubted about a spy even more when Sangamithra didn't even touch a single grain of food from her plate. Someone from her side had clearly informed Sangamithra. She would have found this person even if Boomadevi hadn't informed her to do it.
Porchelvi: Sari atthai. andha ottranai naan paarthu kolgiren. Neengal varuttham kolla veandom. Idhu pondra vaarthaigal ini thangal sevigalil vizhaadhu.

Rukmani and Umayal were on a pilgrimage as Rukmani wanted to pray to the God for her children's lives. They started the day Aditha, and others returned to the palace. They had a long line of soldiers protecting them on their travel.
On the fourth day,
Umayal: indha iravil naam payanam seiyya thaan veanduma thaaye?
Rukmani: Aam magale. Naam kaalaiyil sendru koilai adaiya veandum endraal ippodhu payanappattal dhaan iyalum.
Umayal: sari thaaiye.. Iravu unavai muditthu purappaduvom.
They were currently in an inn. Their palanquins were prepared to take both the women to the temple in the next city. After finishing the dinner, they started their journey towards the temple.
They travelled some distance and Umayal heard some whooshing sound when they crossed a forest. Without anyone's notice, a masked man came near her palanquin. She opened the screen on the palanquin to see the person near her. Her eyes met with a tall burly man. Before she could say anything, he took her away on his horse by gagging her mouth. She tried to see if anyone noticed her disappearance by turning her head around towards their entourage. No one noticed it as everything happened in a second.
After they travelled certain distance, she was able to notice him in the moonlight. With his built, he didn't seem like a regular soldier. She tried to jump out of the horse. Without giving her a trouble, he stopped the horse and pushed her to the ground. She didn't expect him to push her. Annoyance was clearly showing in her face.
Umayal: yaar neengal? edharku ennai ippadi thooki vandheergal?
Masked man bent down as he sat on his horse and looked at the girl who was on the ground.
