Y/n POV:
"Shawn!" I screech, putting my hands up in playful defense as he comes at me with a handful of flour, ready to throw it in my face.
"Just make the cookies," he says with a laugh, his hand hovering over my head, "or your hair turns white." He gives me a smug smile, faking me out by jerking his hand downwards towards me.
"SHAWN NO!" I yell running away, laughing as I look behind me to see him chasing after me.
"Come on y/n," he stops, sighing in defeat, "you always make cookies for Halloween this isn't fair." He walks back to the trashcan and empties his hand there.
"Muffin, you're acting as if I'm refusing to put up a Christmas tree, relax," i say with a giggle. I start to Jog towards him and hug him from behind.
He sighs and turns around hugging me back, "B-but this is worse than not putting up a Christmas tree. On the road I don't get your cookies so just please?" He leans back with his hands on my waist looking down, giving me puppy eyes, his lip sticking out.
I laugh and hit his arm playfully heading back to the kitchen with a smug look on my face, "did you actually think I wasn't going to?"
"You are so mean," His face drops to all seriousness, which makes me laugh harder.
"Oh my god mendes, too cute," i say, while aggressively stirring the mix in the bowl, smiling about how much he really wanted these cookies.
"Still mean," he dead panned, holding back a smile. The corners of his lips curl up slightly making me scoff sarcastically.
"Oh I know," rolling my eyes, "I'm absolutely the worst, so so cruel."
"Mmmhmm," he says, raising his eyebrows and sitting down at the counter, "you mess with food," he says pointing at the cookie mix, "you mess with feelings."
God how much I missed this, I wish I could have this with him every day.
"But I forgive you," he nonchalantly says while playing with an apple resting on the counter, "I love you too much not too."
He gives me a wide smile which makes me melt completely. Having him smile is absolutely my favorite. When he's happy, it seems everyone's mood around him changes. No matter how mad or resentful someone is, his smile is contagious and could brighten up anything and anyone.
"You and that smile," i say, looking at him in complete admiration.
"Baby girl," he says putting down the apple, giving me a loving look with his beautiful brown eyes, "you are the one that does this to me. happiness just comes with being around you."
Just when I think his smile couldn't have gotten bigger, it does.
His words make me blush, making me look down at the floor, "I was just thinking the same thing," I whisper, confident he couldn't hear.
Shawn gets up and stands right next to me, taking the spoon to continue stirring the cookie dough.
"I'd love for you to teach me how to cook these," he states, concentrated on the mixture, "I never learned to cook."
"I'd love to teach you," I wrap my arms around his waist leaning my head against his shoulder, "just don't burn anything."
He chuckles, slowing swirling the spoon around, "don't worry, I'd never hurt these cookies."
