Shawn's POV:

I felt light tapping on my forearm, causing me to spin around in my work chair, me making eye contact with my beautiful 5 year old daughter.

"Daddy?" She asked sweetly, her cheeks red and chubby, a smile across her lips.

"Yes princess?" I say picking her up and plopping her on my lap so she's facing me, placing a kiss on her warm cheek.

"Do you want to watch a movie daddy?" Her small hand reaches up and pokes my cheek, giggling at the scrunched up face I made.

Looking over my shoulder at the computer, I still see the unfinished work I have yet to do. She's going to hate me for this.

"I'm sorry baby girl daddy has work to do, maybe mommy will watch something with you yeah?" I flash her a smile, hopefully making her happy with my rejection of not being able to watch the movie. I'm gone almost all the time for work, and when I'm home, it's just more work and I hate it.

"But me and mommy always watch movies together," she whines while resting her forehead on my shoulder, the disappointment clear in her attuitude.

"There's just so much I need to do baby, later okay?" I feel awful not being able to spend as much time as I'd like with her, she means everything but I knew that we wouldn't have a lot of time together with the career I have.

"Daddy, do you have to work for all those people?" I feel her small lips pout out against my shoulder and I rub her back gently trying to soothe her. She may not be crying but I do know that she isn't happy with my answer.

"The fans?" I chuckle, trying to make it lighthearted, "yes baby girl, daddy has to work to make the people happy."

I hear her sniffle and push away, eyes all puffy and read, with her lip quivering to stop herself from crying.

"Aw baby please don't cry," I lean back in my chair feeling guilty. She slides herself off my lap looking at the floor as she walks out, closing the door softly behind her.

I run my hand through my hair, out of stress and wishing I could just spend some time with her, I know this isn't fair.

"Hey shawn?" Y/n opens the door just enough for her head to fit through, "babe you okay? You look awful." She smiles and walks towards me, pecking my lips happily.

"I look that bad huh?" I say with a sarcastic tone.

"Just stressed," she shrugs walking behind me and giving my shoulders a light squeeze.

"Hmmm," I say closing my eyes, my shoulders and back has been killing me for the past hour, and I really needed this right now.

"Muffin," she says into my neck, curiosity evident in her voice, "why is she crying?"

I lean forward getting up from my chair, once again running my hand through my hair, y/n standing up a little startled.

"Y/n," my voice breaks from being so tired, "i try so hard and I know it's not enough because I barely get time to spend any time with the two of you and she just came in asking to do something as simple as watching a movie and I had to say no. Father of the year award," i say rolling my eyes and gripping the nape of my neck with my hand.

"you mean well," y/n weakly smiles, trying to make me feel better, "she knows you love her shawn."

"Just maybe," she pulls downwards at the hem of her shirt searching for ideas, "you know, take a break from work for a little, comfort her, talk to her, and every thing will be fine."

I look longingly at my computer, debating whether I could afford not finishing, but finding that nothing is more important right now than my daughter. I need to get my priorities straight, my job is taking over my life for God's sakes.

Y/n disappears quickly from the room, returning back with a DVD smiling.

"She has been wanting to watch this all week and she claimed she could only watch it with daddy so this will make everything better." Y/n squeezes my shoulder in reassurance and I kiss her cheek thankfully.

I leave my office and walk down the hall, stopping at y/d/n's room (*your daughters name*) knocking at her door.

I hear shuffling around and a couple sniffles before she opens it slightly, looking up sadly to me.

"Daddy?" She says weakly, so much hope in her voice it makes me smile.

"Munchkin," i say opening her door a little more kneeling down, "is it okay if I watch this movie with you?" I hold the movie in front of me and her eyes light up as she starts giggling.

"Daddy how did you know I wanted that one?" She squeals wrapping her arms around my neck loosely, laughing non-stop.

I laugh pulling back and cupping her little face with my hands smiling back, "mommy told me, do you want to make hot chocolate and watch it?" I offer, knowing it's her favorite.

"No daddy," she says hugging me again, "i don't care, I just want to have you here." I smile at her words. "Because I love you dad."
