Y/n's POV:
The world moves, It moves faster than my own pace, faster than I'd like it too. 9 out of 10 times I won't pay any mind to the speed of things, one minute it's valentine's day and I'm celebrating with the one I love and the next it's new years and the champagne is out, but now that the world's moving and I'm not, I pay more attention than I'd like.
I pay attention to the fact that since shawn left, my friends have stopped trying to help me get out of this pity hole I trapped myself in, they've found other people who will go out for drinks instead of crying and insisting that I just talk of him. They have other people that will go to clubs and not cry when a man tries to make a move on them and uses the very same nicknames that I thought would only come from shawn. They've found people. All of them have.
I pay attention to the fact that my days don't fly as quick as I'd like them too. I guess waiting for someone to come home months on end makes the time without the person you're waiting for utterly pointless. When he would come home I'd have a safe place in his arms, but there is no safety anymore, maybe there never was.
I pay attention to the fact that this house I live in never really was happy or full, it was empty and probably just as melancholy as i am. Memories here turned out not to be memories, but fake schemes and lies created in the mind of the one and only shawn.
I pay attention to the fact that in the past he paid attention to the people he made happy more than he ever noticed me.
Worst of all, I pay attention to the way he looks at her, the way he talks to her, visits her more often while he's on tour, flashes her a more genuine smile than what I got, when he says I love you he doesn't break eye contact with her, he wants to stare in her eyes for forever.
Sadly...I pay attention.
