Shawn's POV:
"And thats why, the characters in the book couldn't save their love, they just watched it die," the professor's hand motions were tranquil, treating this seminar a little different than the others.
Every word, every drawed out statement is blurring past my ears and my cloudy state of mind.
I haven't had a thought train in weeks, but everything becomes relateable when you're hurting, and all I can here is our last fight together pounding in my head...
"You dont even try anymore shawn"
I rub my bloodshot eyes, and try to refocus my gaze on the blank paper in front of me, my fellow piers scribbling down words as fast as the professor says them.
"I disagree," someone in the back of the room motioned their hand to pause the teachers upcoming words, "Jason, the main character in the book, was trying to show his love, but Veronica didn't see the gestures, she pushed him away."
"Y/n, tell me the last time you let me touch you."
I shiver, pulling at the roots of my hair, not being able to make the voices stop.
you're a fucking idiot shawn
You let her walk away
This one is on you.
"Although this is opinion, reading the book, I don't think Jason's gestures were genuine," the professor's favorite part of a seminar is when a student contridicts him, but its giving me a headache more than ever.
"Your affection shawn is out of obligation, not because you want me, or need me."
I begin mumbling to myself, softly, shutting my eyes until it hurts, being aware of every sound around me.
The books rustling,
The screeching of mechanical pencils,
The tapping of finger pads on key boards,
But all goes silent when I hear the words that take my breath away.
"Their love was tragic, bound to ruin, but both posessed blind hope, that in the end, broke them."________________________________________~i worked so hard on this
