Sarah's POV:
It's been 2 months since I've seen shawn and the need to just hold him again has been tearing me apart. He's not supposed to come home for another month.
I understand he has his career that has been picking up speed and the touring keeps him busy but I feel as if he has no more time for me.
I walk into our bedroom and lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling blankly with my phone beside me.
I close my eyes to rest as I hear a vibration alerting me that I have a new notification.
I pick up my phone to see its a text message from shawn and my heart flutters, it's been so long since he's texted me.
I smile as I type in my passcode, my only thought being: He thought of me
S: hey baby girl sorry but andrew needs to keep me for a couple more weeks before I come home. Lots of love xxx
My eyes water as I read the message over and over again. I don't know if I can take him being gone for much longer.
Sarah: okay can't wait to see you, love you
Tears fall down my cheeks as I watch the delivered go to read with no response.
I just want him home
I decide to go out to the store to buy all his favorites, it's kind of comforting having what he likes in the house, as if he was there picking at the muffins.
As I walk through the store I keep checking my phone seeing if there's a response from him, it's not too much to ask to respond to a message, damn.
During check out I look over to see a obviously happy couple hug and laugh and he twirls her around with a huge smile on his face.
I bet he doesn't have to leave for months on end.
I immediately regret ever thinking that and guilt washes over my face. He's trying, he's trying so hard and I'm being completely ungrateful for his love.
As I pull into the driveway I see a light on in the house and I instantly become confused.
Why?
I pick up the bags and walk into the house slowly, unsure of why my light was on
"Hello?" I squeak the words with a bit of fear in my voice.
In an excited, familiar, warm voice I hear "Sarah I missed you!"
I turn around to see shawn in the most adorable clothing with a huge smile on his face and arms open wide for me to jump in them
I drop all the bags with a thud and run as fast as I can into his arms wrapping my legs around his waist.
I begin to cry in the crook of his neck.
"Shawn I missed you so much I can't believe you're here." I push away from his chest to make eye contact and I see even his beautiful brown eyes are a little glossy.
With a laugh I say "shawn what are you doing here?"
He kisses me with passion for a minute and says "Baby girl I wanted to surprise you, I was never supposed to be away for that long, I have a whole week just me and you."
You laugh again with pure joy as I buried my head in his neck.
"Please please please can we cuddle? I've been so lonely."
The words come out mumbled against his skin but I feel him nod as he lays me on the couch and rests his head on my chest allowing me to play with his brown locks.
"I love you so much sarah," he buries his face deeper in my chest and I just can't help but smile as I say, "but shawn I love you wayyy more."
