**Rogers POV**
I was sitting in the studio with Brian and Freddie, and didn't even notice the time going by. I had been gone for so long but we were finally getting somewhere with our writing so I stayed put. I hoped Megan would understand. "Okay, I really need to get going now, Megan will b-" I said. "She'll be fine," Freddie said. "Now, we need a bass player." He said. "I know a few, I'll call them tomorrow." Said Brian quickly, knowing I was in a rush to get home. "Okay, fine but we should at least go out for a drink first?" Freddie said. Brian laughed. "Freddie, it's nearly 5 in the morning, we need to go." Freddie rolled his eyes. We left the studio. I invited Brian and Freddie round to our house to stay for what was left of the night. I knew if they were with me Megan might not be so annoyed at me. I hoped.I was surprised that the front door was unlocked as I knew Megan worried a lot and always kept the doors and Windows locked, just in case. I opened the door and found the house in a state. The chairs were messed up, glass was on the floor, everything was all over the place. Megan was very tidy so I knew it wasn't her. "Jesus, what happened here?" Freddie asked. "I don't know." I said, my voice barely a whisper. I looked around the house for Megan, but it was dark and I wasn't thinking straight enough to turn the light on, so I ran frantically around the house getting no where closer to finding Megan at all. "Oh, my, god, no!" I heard Brian say quietly. It was quiet but I still heard it. I ran downstairs to Brian and saw him standing over an unconscious Megan, with blood pouring from her head and her eyes closed. I panicked. This wasn't my field of work. It was hers.
I called 911 because it was all I could do. I couldn't try to save her because I was in shock and too scared. We all were. I couldn't figure out what had happened. I knew she didnt just throw things around the place and hit her head off the radiator. Or did she? She wasn't that stupid. We arrived at the hospital and Megan was treated. I felt so bad for not being there. If I was there, none of this would have happened. I could have saved her, stopped this from happening and we wouldn't have to be here. But I wasn't there for her. My eyes filled with tears as I thought of the idea of losing her. Suddenly the doctor appeared behind me. "Hello, Mr Taylor, Megan has a deep laceration in her head, various bruises and spots of tenderness all over her body and what seems to be marks of a hand or foot of some sort. She's fine right now but we are keeping her under close observation. Do you know what happened?" He asked. I shook my head. "Can I see her?" The doctor lead me to her room where I saw her hooked up to machines, with bandages all over her body. She looked so peaceful. I knew what she felt when I was ill that time. Only I felt much guiltier. Because My illness was my genetics and immune system, something that was no ones fault and couldn't be controlled whereas this was my fault. I wasn't there for her and I was facing the consequences head on.
