**Megan's POV**
"Wh-Who are...you?" I asked.
I did not recognise the man sitting on the bed beside me. And why did he call me "honey"? Did he know me?
I noticed his face fell when I asked who he was. He then frowned. "Megan, do you know who I am?" He asked slowly. I shook my head. I couldn't remember him.
"I'm Roger. I'm your husband." He told me, his voice breaking.
"Husband?" I asked, shocked. He nodded.
I looked at my left hand and saw a silver wedding ring. "Oh..." I said.
I looked over at 'Roger' and saw he was crying. "I'm... sorry." I told him.
"No, it's fine." He whispered and stood up. He came back a few minutes later with the doctor.
"Mrs Taylor," the doctor asked. "Do you know where you are?"
"I'm in the hospital." I said.
"Do you know why you're here?"
I shook my head. "What's your name?" He asked.
"Megan Michelson."
I saw 'Roger' had stormed out of the room. "Who is that man?" I asked the doctor.
"Mrs Taylor, that's your husband. Do you not remember him?"
"I can't remember anything." I said.
"Hold on," the doctor said. "I'll be back in a minute.
The doctor came back with Roger and they both sat on the chairs either side of my bed. I noticed Roger had his hands locked, pressed against his lips. There were also tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Okay, Mrs Taylor," the doctor said. "Who are your friends?"
I thought for a minute. "Ummm, I've got a friend called Sharon, she lives in Truro and I've got another friend called.... Brian, I think."
I saw Roger put his head in his hands.
"Okay, where does Brian live?"
"I think he lives in England.... but I'm not entirely sure."
"Have you got a boyfriend?"
I shook my head. I couldn't remember.
"Do you remember your parents?" Roger asked me.
I nodded. "Yeah I do."
The doctor stood up and so did Roger. "I'm certain the fall couldn't have caused this memory loss. Did you move her?"
Roger nodded and started to cry. "Well, the movement of her neck could have interferred with her spine which is stopping the memory receptors to be working in her brain. Surgery is an option, but it could only make her situation worse. The best think for her right now is to go back to her normal routine, her life with you. So that maybe she might start to remember some things."
The doctor left the room and I looked at Roger. He was still crying. Then he wiped his eyes and sat down again.
"What age am I?" I asked. "You're twenty eight, you'll be twenty nine in December."
"December fifth." I said.
"That's right." Roger mumbled.
"How did I meet you?" I asked.
"We met in Truro school. Do you remember school?"
I thought for a minute. I remembered some things but only vividly.
"Not really." I said.
Just then, my parents walked, well ran, in. My mother hugged me. "Oh darling, are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah I'm okay mum." I said.
"What are your injuries?" My dad asked.
"She, uh, has a concussion, but she can't remember me...." Roger said, and started bawling. My mother ran over and hugged him.
My dad sat on my bed. "You don't remember Roger?" I shook my head.
"Where are the kids?" I heard Roger whisper to my mother. "They're in the car. I'll go get them now."
Kids? I had kids? Maybe Roger had kids but I didn't.
My mother and father left the room, they said they'd be back in a minute.
"Megan, please, can you not remember anything about me, about our life?" Roger asked me.
I shook my head.
Roger sat back in his chair and sighed. "We've got kids together Megan."
"How many?" I asked.
"Three. Two boys and one girl. Elly Mae Meddows, Aidan Freddie John, Luke Eoin Brian."
"Wait what?" I asked. "That sounds like more than three...."
"They've all got two middle names. But you and I just call them by their first name, Elly, Aidan, Luke."
"How old are they?"
"Aidan and Elly are twins, they're four and Luke was born with a twin but he died. He's four months old."
All this new information was baffling to me. I had a husband, kids. But I couldn't remember them.
"What's your job?" I asked.
"I'm in a band called Queen. I play the drums."
For a second, I felt a flashback, but a fleeting one and I couldn't see what was in it, but something about drums had triggered it.
My parents returned. The two kids who were twins were walking together and my dad was carrying the baby. The twins ran over to Roger and he gave them a huge hug.
My dad handed the baby to me and I held him in my arms. He did look like my baby. I could see me in him. I looked at the other kids. The little girl looked very like me. She seemed very familiar but I couldn't remember any details. The boy looked like Roger.
The doctor came back into the room.
"The best solution here is for Megan to return home with Roger and her kids. She might start to remember everything."
"Will she ever remember everything?" Roger asked.
"It doesn't usually happen but it's been heard of. What I'm saying is, its better to get a few little memories than to keep pushing for the whole thing. It'll come back to her. It should. And I'm guessing it'll take about half a year for her to remember the majority of things. By the time she gets into her normal routine, she won't even think about not being able to remember things. They'll just become the norm to her."
"Do I- have to... make her fall in love with me again...?" Roger asked.
"If she's fallen in love with you before, I'm sure she can do it again."
The doctor left and so did my parents. It was starting to get late outside.
"Kids," Roger said. "Mummy is having a little bit of trouble remembering us, so we just have to help her and tell her things when she asks, okay?"
The kids nodded and then looked at me.
"I'm Elly," the girl said. "My name is Elly Mae. You got the 'Mae' bit from daddy's friend Bian. I'm four."
"I'm Aidan. My whole name is Aidan... Freddie... John... they're the names of daddy's friends. I'm four too."
I noticed these kids were so intelligent. I looked at Roger, he was smiling proudly at them.
I wished I could remember them.... I hoped I could soon.
Roger was still smiling at the kids. He picked them up and put them on his knees. I saw him laugh, showing his teeth. He had long/short blonde hair. He had huge blue eyes. He was gorgeous. I could see why I had married him.
He didn't need to worry about getting me to fall in love with him again, because I already was.
