*10th of July*
**Rogers POV**

That day Megan and I had to go to town because I needed to buy clothes for our dinner with Ben. I wasn't sure what to buy when I was by myself so I asked Megan to come with me. It was a Saturday and there was no one to mind the kids so we had to bring them with us.

I was quite worried about bringing the kids with us because people were always taking pictures of me and I didn't want to expose them to that. This was the first time since Queen got popular that I went out with Megan and the kids. We walked into town because it was a beautiful sunny day. Megan held Ellys hand and I held Aidans.

We were walking through the streets of London, when someone noticed me. I was pissed, because I was wearing sunglasses and I hoped they would be my disguise. One girl came running up to me. "Hi I'm sorry to bother you but could you please sign this?" She asked me, pulling a pen and a piece of paper out of her bag. I sighed and supposed I was lucky to have fans in the first place. "Sure love, whats your name?" I asked. "Julie."

I wrote "To Julie, thanks, Roger Taylor." She smiled and walked away. As we started walking again, Megan said, "Jesus that would annoy me." I started laughing. "Yeah I know but our fans are nice."

I realised Julie must have tipped off the press because after a few minutes a group of people with cameras came over and started asking me questions and taking pictures. I felt Aidan squeeze my hand hard so I picked him up and carried him. I completely ignored the press and kept walking. We stopped at a men's clothes shop and went inside. Thankfully the workers didn't recognise me and we were able to shop in peace. I looked around the aisles but no clothes caught my eye. To be honest they weren't my style. Megan and I separated to look for clothes.

Eventually she called me over and showed me a pink and black striped suit coat. "Oh yeah Megan I like that a lot." She picked out a black shirt and a black and white tie. I went to the fitting room and tried them on. "What do you think?" I asked. "Yeah I like it." "What trousers should I wear?" "Those jeans suit." She replied.

After we bought the clothes we left the shop and headed back home. Unfortunately a larger group of people were down the road, holding cameras and calling me. I picked Aidan up again and carried him. Megan did the same with Elly. We wanted to protect him.

As we were walking and ignoring the press, I felt something fly past my face. Someone had thrown something at us. They threw something again, and again, eventually throwing a bottle and hitting Megan straight on the head. She fell on her knees and I saw blood pour from her head. "Are you alright?" I asked her. "Yeah I'm okay. I don't need to go to the hospital." She told me. "Are you sure?" I asked. She nodded in agreement. We picked the kids up again and I had my arm around Megan protectivley. Then, somebody threw paper and eventually a shoe at us and it hit Elly in the back. Megan was comforting her when I ran over to the people who threw it. They ran off before I could get them.

"Is she okay?" I asked Megan. "Yep she's good." She replied. We walked back home, vowing to never go to town with the kids on a Saturday morning again.

"This is ridiculous." Said Megan when we arrived in the door. "What is?" I asked. "The fact that we can't even go to town with people taking pictures and throwing stuff!" I could hear her voice catch in her throat and I knew she was crying. I pulled her into my arms. "I'm sorry love, I really am." I told her, rocking her back and forth. "I know." She said into my chest. "You should get something for your head." I told her. She nodded and went to the bathroom to clean her wound.

I went upstairs to get changed as it was nearly time for us to go. Megan came into our room, her dress on, her hair curled. "Wow." I said to her. She blushed and came over to me. "Thank you baby." She said, kissing my lips. I tried to slip her dress off. "Oi! Stop, we have to go soon." She said. I groaned. "Come on!" She said.

We dropped the kids to Brians house and drove to the restaurant where we were meeting Ben. We saw him sitting alone at a table. I presumed his date hadn't showed up yet. "Hello Ben." Said Megan. He stood up and kissed her cheek and gave me a hug. "Where's your girlfriend?" I asked. "Oh yeah," said Ben. "She dumped me this morning so.." "Oh I'm sorry to hear that." Said Megan.

We ordered and ate our meals, making conversation. "So Ben," said Megan. "What do you work as?" "Well I do the odd acting every now and then but I work as an insurance broker full time. It's incredibly boring but it pays the bills." He replied. "Where do you live?" I asked. "I live in 42 Kensington." He said. Megan and I looked at each other. "That's where we used to live!" Said Megan. "Wow imagine that!" Said Ben. We drank wine and laughed the rest of the night.

Megan and I left the resturaunt after paying the bill and saying bye to Ben. We collected the kids and went home. Megan was completely exhausted and she went to her straight away and I joined her soon after. I tossed and turned all night, annoyed and upset about what happened earlier that day. I wanted to be able to live a normal life and I wanted my children to be safe from the press, but being in Queen made that virtually impossible and I felt guilty that it was my fault. I wanted my kids to live a normal and happy life but they couldn't and that was all because of me.
